Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome to the Goblin Lore Podcast!
In today's episode Hobbes is revisiting a solo episode that he did (#38) on the importance of S.M.A.R.T. goals as a motivational and achievement tool, while explaining how Nicol Bolas almost certainly used those kinds of goals to help his long-term planning. We all know how that turned out though... which leads us to Problem Solving and a novel 5 step method called S.C.A.L.E!
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).
We also are proud to have partnered with Grinding Coffee Co a black, LGBT+ affiliated and owned, coffee business that is aimed at providing coffee to gamers. You can read more about their mission here. You can use our partner code for discounted coffee!

As promised, we plan to keep these Mental Health Links available moving forward too. For general Mental Health the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has great resources for people struggling with mental health concerns as well as their families. We also want to draw attention to this article on stigma from NAMI's site.
If you’re thinking about suicide or just need someone to talk to right now, you can get support from any of the resources below.

Hello Podwalkers,
Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast! It's been a few weeks and today's episode is going to talk a little bit about this unplanned break. It also means that we are not quite ready yet for part 2 of Karn in the Time of Cholera. But it is coming soon! Until then Hobbes is going to catch you up to date on the cast and briefly discuss a project he has been doing #EDHBoxingLeague

Hello Podwalkers,
Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast! For today's episode Alex and Hobbes were joined by the now officially sometimes hose of the cast Chase (aka ManaCurves) to discuss what Depression using the story of Karn as the jumping off point. This episode will be part 1 of 2 as talking about the real world implications needed a fair amount of time devoted to it (and there were real world implications that interrupted the recording as you will hear).

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast and to a different kind of episode. On the day that this was going to be recorded Hobbes was not feeling well, and Alex stepped up to take the lead to discuss Self-Compassion and Self-Care especially in the era of a Pandemic. This was spurred in part by a talk that he had listened to from a local convention that had been canceled and moved to online. After listening to the recording Hobbes realized that he wanted to tie in an experiential exercise for you all related to this. If you want to check out the script for this exercise it can be found here.

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast as we are once again joined by Michelle Rapp (aka KilnFiendPotter). Michelle was the first guest of the Goblin Lore Podcast way back in episodes 8 and 9 when she discussed the Color Pie and Art with us! We welcomed her back as we were struck by the discussion in this article she wrote for Card Kingdom. In Part 1 we discussed her cats, the before times (pre-COVID), and Jace the Mindsculptor and now in Part 2 we pick up that discussion with looking at a more recent character Lukka (from Ikoria) as well as talking about the Real World Implications of Toxic Masculinity.

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast and please welcome our guests for today! We are joined by Ced and Ken from One More Mana (aka ManaSquad). These amazing creators are here continuing on fro part 1 of a two part discussion of how they approach EDH/Commander Deck Building. Part 1 covered their individual philosophies while Part 2 looks at how building styles may be influenced by the narratives we all have about ourselves. We discuss more about bringing our stories to the gaming space and about how representation and boosting of creators is beneficial to all.
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast, pull up a chair and pour yourself a cup of your favorite drink as we stroll down memory lane. In today's episode Alex and Hobbes are taking things back to the very beginning, 2 years ago, when they were both approached by Joe about a new cast idea. This episode pulls back the curtain to talk about the growth and changes that the cast have had over the past two years. From the beginning to looking forward, this episode is an ode to those that have allowed us to get to where we are today.
We want to give a special thanks to our "unofficial" co-host Chase as well as our very first guest Michelle because without them this would not have started or continued. We also want to give special thank yous to Erin Campbell, Tappy, Olivia, Jackal Costuming, Titus Lunter, and all of the guests and our Patrons.
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast as we take a trip into what Science Fiction may look like in the Magic the Gathering Multiverse. Alex and Hobbes are joined by a local Minneapolis writer, nerd, metalhead, karaoke star, and raconteur(Reinhardt Sanchez) to take a deeper look into this genre and see where Magic has dipped into this topic and ideas on where this could go from a narrative and design standpoint!
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).
