  • Rewards of Loyalty

King David had many marriages and many children, Absalom was his third son from a a foreign woman named Maca. She was the daughter of king Gersur of Syria Absolom had a grudge against his father and started to do politics and stole the hearts of many using flattery. King David told Ittai that he had no reason to run away with him since he wasn’t a Jew. Itai had no debt with David but he was willing to sacrifice everything for his King. This is a contrast between Ittai and Absolom. Absolom was alive because of David but had no gratitude in his heart, no loyalty. LOYALTY IS PROVEN WHEN THERE ARE NO PROMISSES OF REWARDS

  • Build your house Upon the ROCK

What Does it Mean to Build Your House on the Sand? Moses spoke of the God of Israel as a Rock: “Ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect, … a God of truth and without iniquity.” (Deut. 32:3–4.)David wrote, “the Lord is my rock, and my fortress, … my shield, … my high tower.” (2 Sam. 22:2–3.)Not only is Jesus a Rock, but his gospel also is likened to a rock, a sure foundation. To Peter, who had obtained a testimony of Jesus by the revelation of the Holy Ghost, Jesus said, “Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:18.)

  • Stability - Like riding a Bicycle

Balance is necessary to ride a bycicle. Stability is achieved by motion forward. Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

  • Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s disease

Being diagnosed with a degenerative disease is a very difficult time. Many sufferers are unaware of their disease for years, and once symptoms start becoming prevalent, diagnosis may still take months or years. Some people believe that King David of Israel might have had Parkinson’s disease.Diseases and illnesses such as breast cancer, migraines, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and so much more likely played a part in history.Parkinson disease arises from decreased dopamine production in the brain. The absence of dopamine makes it hard for the brain to coordinate muscle movements. Low dopamine also contributes to mood and cognitive problems later in the course of the disease.

  • Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is mentioned nowhere explicitly in the Bible. Schizophrenia is a psychological disorder characterized most commonly by hearing voices and having hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking, and, at times, paranoia.People with mild Schizophrenia can control it with prayer but I have seen that the mind can trick you into thinking you are having a Godly Vision when it’s not.Having mental health problems and a belief in God can bring creative and unique perspectives to things.
