Abram had already faltered in his faith. Why would God want to draw near to him? Because that is God's character. God draws near to the faithless because he is loving, kind, and faithful. And Jesus, ultimately, was the cut off one for the faithless, even though he was faithful. God has never changed, and invites us to know him.
Preached by Rev. Sam Taaffe from Genesis 17:1-19; 22-24.
