BEYOND SALVATION: THE ART OF RECEIVING GOD'S PROMISES

Many Christians think they have to go through hell to get to Heaven.

Proverbs 13:13a, 15b (AMPC) says, “Whoever despises the Word and counsel [of God] brings destruction upon himself… the way of the transgressor is hard [like the barren, dry soil or the impassable swamp].”

Do you find yourself “going through hell” in certain areas of your life? If so, take a look at how you esteem the Word of God. How do you respond to His guidance and correction?

Do you resist it? Do you justify your behavior? Hold onto what God is telling you to let go of? Rejoice? Willingly submit? Thank Him?

Do you run from God, or run towards Him?

Part of the art of receiving God's promises is walking in the light of His correction. The more we walk in the light of God's correction, the more room we create to receive from Him. Listen as Apostle True and Prophetess Free expound from the Word of God.

The law (or Word) of the Lord is perfect - restoring the WHOLE person. His Word is right, pure... righteous and true altogether.

God chastens (i.e., corrects) those He loves (Heb. 12:6). He corrects us because he LOVES us. (Hallelujah!) When we look at correction in this light, what should be our proper response be?  The Apostle John got the revelation: We love Him because He first loved us. :-)
