Many people are working overtime, trying to change things that they cannot change.
You have to accept the fact you can't control everything. The only thing you can control 100% of the time is your attitude.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond. If somebody hurts you, you can't control that. It's over and done, but you can control whether or not you get offended, or if you were to get a negative medical report.
You can't control that, life happens, but you can control whether or not you live upset and discouraged.
Next time you're tempted to be frustrated, offended, stressed out, remind yourself, that's a part of the 10%. You can't control that, but you can control how you respond.
Start passing the test. Don't keep letting the same things upset you year after year, the same people get on your nerves.
Every day is a gift from God. We're not always going to be here. Once this day is over, we can never get it back, and your time is too valuable to waste it upset in traffic, offended at a neighbor, frustrated at a child, worried about your health, discouraged because a dream is taking so long. You can't control those things. If that was going to keep you from your destiny, God would have never permitted it. Start passing the test. Don't allow yourself to be upset.
Until next time,
Stay blessed!

A breakthrough is a sudden, dramatic, and important discovery or development.
A miracle is a shift in perception.
What does this highlight for you?
You can be living in breakthrough...that can be normal for you. You can move from strength to strength and from glory to glory every single day, but are you?
Some of us don't know how. Others don't know where to start and still others just won't.
If you're craving breakthrough or waiting on one...

Oh how our brains love to question and come up with ALL the reasons for why things aren't happening the way we plan!!
It's a resources thing...if I only had the money I'd...
If I just hustle harder I'll...
If I could just connect with that person then...
If I just had more education, or certifications, I'd...
We think of ALL the things, when we fail to realize it's one thing.
It's a FAITH thing.
And when we finally admit it's a faith thing...then what!?
Before your brain goes crazy, do yourself a favor and...

Most of us define ourselves by what we consume. And we do so without thinking twice about it. We base our identities on which sports teams we follow, the music we listen to, the shows we watch, the cars we drive, the diets we follow, the brands we buy.
While this signals a landslide victory for consumerism, it presents a major challenge to our sense of individual identity and fulfillment. It becomes difficult to instill life with any sort of meaning when we've boxed ourselves into the dependent role of a consumer, creating nothing of our own.
To create is to actively engage and contribute to the world.
The people creating are the ones taking the risk. Without an outlet in which to create, the number of moments in life when you feel truly alive are few and far between. Creating is engrained in us.

Who is more likely to succeed? One who is overcome by all of the challenges and inner resistance that comes up or one who is highly skilled in overcoming and managing their reactions to them?
Here’s where your job comes in.
Your job is to perpetually solve problems.
How? Self-Coaching.
Self-Coaching is to ask more of yourself than your default.

Learning how to advocate for yourself can feel like one of the scariest and most intimidating things to do...
When you've grown accustomed to putting others before yourself and making other's needs more important, there is a tendency to lose a sense of self.
The truth that's denied--You are not helping someone when you free them of their responsibility. You are not helping you when you abandon, betray and break promises with yourself.
When we lose ourselves we don't know who we are, what we value, what we need or how to speak up and communicate those needs and desires in healthy and productive ways.
Is it time to learn to be a better advocate for yourself?
Until next time,

Worried that low standards might be dragging you down?
Your standards are what you allow to happen or continue in life. What you’ll accept, and what you won’t. Where you draw the line in the sand, in all areas of your life.
Your standards are how you allow other people to treat you. They are linked to your self-esteem and what you think you deserve.
It’s important to take a look at what you’re allowing in your life, and think about whether these things are positives, or whether they’re hindering you. Are you setting the bar too low in general?
Until next time,

What is emotional adulthood?
Emotional adulthood is deciding not to blame and complain and instead take responsibility for you emotions and the energy you are experiencing and putting into motion.
Rather than do this, a majority of adults choose to run, numb, complain and blame. All of which lead to chaos, confusion, frustration and overwhelm. In other words, they prolong your progress, cancel your momentum and sometimes creates messes that take more of your energy to manage. Yea....
A great sell for why you might consider investing in developing a healthy inner life. This is not just your thoughts and renewing your mind. While that's part of it, your emotions indicate what is going on for you on the inside which absolutely affects your outside.
As you can imagine, when you have no idea what's happening in you, this will shift what's happening around you, at least your perception of it all.
Ahhh, adulting. All it's cracked up to be!
Until next time,
Stay blessed!

When we are stable (in our insides---thoughts, emotions, motives/intentions of our hearts), we can release more ability.
Makes sense, but often we don't put in the investment to stabilize our inner man/woman.
For many, this is a season of transition and when everything is unstable and shifting, we have an opportunity to grow and develop our character so that we can be stable and impactful.
But how though...
Glad you asked! You'll have to tune into the Spirit-Filled Real Talk Podcast and find out.
Until next time,
Stay blessed!
