In his sermon "Joseph's Life: A Masterclass In Faith," Pastor Scott Bland delivers an inspiring character study of Joseph from the Old Testament, tracing his remarkable journey from favored son to enslaved prisoner, and ultimately to second-in-command in Egypt. Pastor Scott highlights how Joseph’s life, spanning Genesis 37 to 50, exemplifies resilience and godliness amid adversity—betrayed by his jealous brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned, yet sustained by God’s presence and purpose. Through Joseph’s story, Pastor Scott underscores the transformative power of forgiveness and faith, culminating in Joseph’s declaration to his brothers in Genesis 50:19-20: “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good,” as he preserved a remnant of Israel during famine. This message encourages listeners to endure life’s trials with gratitude and trust in God’s plan, reflecting on Joseph’s unwavering character as a model for overcoming personal struggles and extending grace to others.

In his sermon "Pride After Blessing," Pastor Rob McCoy weaves a compelling narrative that intertwines the biblical story of King Hezekiah with contemporary challenges facing America. Reflecting on his recent speaking engagement in El Cajon, California, McCoy highlights the grassroots efforts to unify conservatives in the state amid economic struggles, soaring debt, and a shifting global trade landscape. He draws a parallel between Hezekiah’s prideful decision to flaunt Judah’s treasures to Babylon—leading to eventual ruin—and America’s post-World War II economic policies that favored foreign manufacturing over domestic prosperity, resulting in a debtor nation burdened by $36 trillion in debt. With fervent conviction, Pastor Rob calls for a selfless recalibration of priorities, urging listeners to endure short-term economic discomfort for the sake of future generations, much like Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, celebrated in communion, exemplifies dying to self so others might live.

In his sermon "When You Pray," Pastor Micah Stephens draws from the book of Matthew to deliver a heartfelt message about the simplicity and power of prayer, echoing Jesus' teaching that it should be a private, intimate exchange between an individual and God—not a public spectacle performed for human praise, lest that fleeting recognition become the only reward. He highlights Jesus' own reliance on prayer with the Father as a model for believers, urging us to depend on it even more in our own lives, while dispelling the notion that prayer is a complex ritual, magic spell, or wish to a distant deity; instead, it’s a direct, face-to-face conversation with God. Pastor Stephens emphasizes the extraordinary privilege we now have through Christ—unhindered access to God—contrasting it with the Old Testament era when Jews depended on animal sacrifices and a high priest to petition God on their behalf, a process so precise that a misstep could cost the priest his life. Today, he reminds us, we often overlook the profound gift of speaking to God directly and receiving answers in Jesus’ name.

In this sermon titled "Is This Dividing The Church?," Pastor Rob McCoy confronts the alarming rise of antisemitism within America and the Church, spotlighting a troubling trend among some on the Right who label Jews as the "Synagogue of Satan" to fuel their hatred toward Jewish people and Israel. He emphasizes that a divided house cannot stand and questions the future direction of the Church, reaffirming that God's eternal promises and covenants with Abraham and the Jews remain forever—asserting that the Church does not supplant them as the chosen people, and Israel forever belongs to the Jews. Pastor McCoy reminds us that all nations and individuals bear the guilt of humanity's atrocities, having sinned and fallen short, and urges believers to bless Israel and the Jewish people. He warns that both the "Woke Right" and "Woke Left," if taken to their extremes, pose equal threats, potentially ushering in death and destruction to the United States and the American Church.

In his sermon "Charitable Deeds," part of his ongoing series on the Sermon on the Mount, Pastor Micah Stephens preaches from the book of Matthew, cautioning that charitable acts cannot simultaneously seek human applause and divine approval—they are mutually exclusive pursuits. He challenges believers to examine their motives: are their good deeds performed with theatrical flair for public recognition, or quietly to reflect glory to God? Stephens warns against virtue signaling, a trap not limited to the political left but prevalent among Christians too, urging vigilance against the deception that earthly praise equates to God’s pleasure. He encourages striving for heavenly rewards, not self-congratulation, so that God alone may judge and affirm us with a "well done," keeping eternity as the focus of our actions.

In his sermon "Why Would God Gift You Pain?" Pastor Rob McCoy draws from the book of Luke, focusing on Jesus healing a leper after the Sermon on the Mount, to explore the unexpected blessing of pain as a divine signal that something is amiss. He compares leprosy’s numbing effects to the ways people in modern communities dull their own pain through escapes like drugs, alcohol, or pornography, rather than confronting it. McCoy asserts that just as the leper found healing through worshiping Jesus, true wholeness comes not from masking pain but from turning to Christ, the only one capable of restoring us fully. Through this lens, he reframes pain as a purposeful gift, guiding us toward the ultimate healer.

In this episode of Faith Forward, Pastors Rob McCoy and Micah Stephens explore a range of pressing topics, starting with insights from the recent Faith Forward Pastor Summit and the encouraging trend of younger generations embracing Christianity and conservatism amid growing exhaustion with woke ideology and its societal fallout. They delve into the federal judge injunctions thwarting the Trump administration’s efforts to realign the U.S. with the electorate’s mandate, spotlighting broader cultural battles, including the left’s shifting stance on Elon Musk and DOGE—evidenced by Tesla burnings that betray their environmental rhetoric as a guise for attacking America’s Christian-rooted values. The conversation culminates with a reflection on the Titler Cycle, urging vigilance to prevent a return to truth and prosperity from sliding into apathy and a leftward lurch, emphasizing the need for intentional diligence to steer future generations toward an enduring positive course for the nation.

In his presentation "Follow Your Heart?" special guest speaker Dr. Frank Turek challenges the popular notion of blindly following one’s heart, questioning whether it truly benefits individuals and societies. He critiques the modern ideals of inclusion, tolerance, and diversity, arguing that their proponents often enforce conformity under threat of harm, revealing a flawed search for hope and identity—either through external validation or internal desires—when the only true source is found in looking to Christ. Turek warns that even Christians can fall into the trap of striving to craft their own identity rather than receiving it from God, emphasizing that the heart, being corrupt, conflicted, and changing, leads to destruction if relied upon solely. Through compelling reasoning, he urges a shift from self-directed pursuits to a Christ-centered foundation for life’s purpose and meaning.

In this episode of the Faith Forward Podcast, Pastor Micah Stephens and Garrett Backstrom welcome apologist Frank Turek for a wide-ranging discussion that tackles some of life’s biggest questions. The trio explores the origins of creation and the necessity of a first cause, the core tenets of Christianity, and thought-provoking topics like whether the crucifixion equates to divine child abuse or if free will coexists with God’s sovereignty. They debunk the idea of “following your heart,” given its fickle nature, and dive into Frank’s book Hollywood Heroes, revealing how blockbuster films echo biblical narratives—the greatest story ever told. Wrapping up, they reflect on how poverty and restricted speech have been humanity’s historical norm, urging listeners to engage in politics and the public square to preserve America’s rare freedoms of wealth and expression. Don’t miss this engaging blend of faith, culture, and action!

In his sermon "Love Your Enemies," part of his ongoing series on the Sermon on the Mount, Pastor Micah Stephens explores the radical call to love those who oppose us by following Christ’s example—dying for us while we were still God’s enemies. He clarifies that "an eye for an eye" was meant to limit retribution, ensuring punishment fits the crime, not to license unchecked vengeance, while "turning the other cheek" is often misinterpreted as passivity but is actually a strategic de-escalation to break cycles of retaliation. Stephens emphasizes that loving enemies as Jesus did isn’t a path to weakness or abuse but a powerful tactic to reflect Christ’s love, trusting God’s wrath and the Holy Spirit’s conviction to transform lives far beyond what human justice or vengeance could achieve. He urges believers to relinquish personal retaliation, allowing God to work in their enemies’ hearts through love.
