Godspeak Calvary Chapel

In this sermon from the book of Luke, Special Guest Speaker Judge Wayne Mack shares profound insights on the power of obedience and faith. He emphasizes that saying "Yes" to God can lead to miracles, but a healthy "Yes" requires a balanced "No." Judge Mack explains that God's "No" to our prayers often leads to unexpected blessings, aligning with His grander plan where He sees the end from the beginning. He shares a personal testimony of miraculous healings—his own and his son's—triggered by his willingness to obey God after previous refusals. Judge Mack's message is clear: when we align with God's will, there is no obstacle too great for His power to overcome.

In "Salty & Illuminated," Pastor Rob McCoy explores the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew, focusing on Jesus's metaphor of His followers as salt and light. He emphasizes that Jesus declares we already are these elements, not that we will become them. We are meant to be the moral preservative in society, challenging us: if we don't stand for righteousness, who will? As the light of the world, if we don't shine in dark places, who will? Pastor McCoy calls for believers to maintain their saltiness and let their light shine, serving as Christ's ambassadors by submitting to God's purpose, thereby exemplifying His transformative power through our lives.

In "Not To Destroy, But To Fulfill," Pastor Micah Stephens delves into Jesus's declaration from the Sermon on the Mount, setting the stage for forthcoming teachings in this series. He explains that Jesus's assertion of not abolishing but fulfilling the Law and the Prophets can be seen as an inaugural address to His kingdom's principles. This statement was perplexing to both Jews and Gentiles but for believers, it represents the completion of prophecy and the pathway to salvation, opening up new dimensions of faith and understanding.

In his ongoing series on the book of James, Pastor James Crawford reflects on life's end and our legacy in a sermon titled "Accountability and Eternity." He poses a critical question: if we don't believe in an afterlife accountability, why restrain ourselves from worldly gains? Crawford clarifies that wealth isn't inherently evil, but it can obstruct our path to heaven. He urges his congregation to live with an eternal perspective, focusing on accumulating treasures in heaven rather than on earth.

In his series on the book of James, Pastor James Crawford delivers a sermon titled "Prayer's True Purpose," where he defines prayer not as persuading a hesitant God, but as aligning our intentions with His divine plan. He calls for a shift in perspective, explaining that harboring hate is akin to murder, and lusting after someone not your spouse is adultery, emphasizing that God's standards far exceed ours. The uplifting message is that by humbling ourselves and adopting God's viewpoint, we open ourselves up to His grace.
