I have to say Netflix comes through with some interesting material. I mean since DC Comics and Marvel Comics each have ties with their own respective streaming services Netflix has to get creative with other comic book properties and it’s not necessarily superhero genre material. This brings us to Locke & Key which on the surface is pretty cool idea but then it goes sideways and that can be good and bad for some.

Superman: Red Son is based on DC’s famed Elseworlds tale from 2003, Superman: Red Son takes place in an alternate reality where the spaceship bearing the last survivor of Krypton crash lands – not in rural Kansas, but in Stalin controlled Russia. Can this Cold War-era Earth survive the coming of a Soviet Superman?

I will have to tell you that I never really have anything bad about Warner Bros animation when it comes to DC Comics properties. Now for the most part they are usually Batman centric especially with the titles that we have previously seen and there have only been a couple with Superman. I am not going to dig into this movie too much but it really shows a difference in the direction in the DC Animated films.

High School and Teen Superheroes have been done so many times before. We have had animated and live action versions as well as comic book interpretations of this idea. Live action movies like Zoom with Tim Allen, Sky High with Kurt Russell, Animated features like DC Superhero Girls, and Comic Books like Teen Titans and Avengers Academy.

So far though I am loving the background and premise of a Japanese anime series My Hero Academia, I’m not going to get into it like the hardcore anime and manga fans do but as a casual consumer let me tell you why I dig this series.

It’s up to me to be the voice of reason, between people saying this looks great and those who hate it we got a 1st look at he costume to be worn by Robert Pattinson for the in-development film The Batman. I think we go through this song and dance every time a comic book movie hits the scene but what makes this any different than when the X-Men wore black leather, Superman put his drawers on the inside and Harley Quinn wore regular clothes?

Usually I try to come up with some witty sounding title for my reviews but I couldn’t do this for this one. The internet is going in two directions with this one and the DCEU or the DC movie Universe or whatever the hell they are calling it nowadays. Outside of the ridiculously long title let’s talk about what is making the “fanboys” cry about this film and the good and bad points and should you spend the money to see these little “birdies”

Okay people we have finally jumped the shark! Have they actually jumped over a shark in the Fast and Furious films because that will be the ultimate acknowledgement that this has evolved from being the chronicles of the street racing, custom car scene, and evolved into a universe where  stealth planes snatch mustangs out of the air and a Dodge Charger can swing like Tarzan from a vine or Wonder Woman on a lightning bolt (see the WW84 trailer for that one).

I had this whole pre-Superbowl livestream planned out and to talk about watching commercials, but my streaming software had other plans. So, if you are wondering why this looks different it is because it is having to build everything from scratch. Let’s go off script for a while and talk about everything we saw during the Superbowl and more.

I hope you broke jokers made the bets I told you on last weeks podcast because out of the 8 categories I predicted I was correct on 4 (50%) not bad.

Commercial were actually pretty bland this year in my opinion void of the humor I have come to love.

· Lil Nas X vs Sam Elliot was pretty funny with the mustache wave

· I expected more with the Rick and Morty ad

· Little Caesars disappointed me because I expected more since they sent my boy @DaymDrops a cardboard chair.

· Hyundai – Smat Pahk uh no

· Disney + dropped the bomb so I can expect a jump in my stocks again soon

· Mr. Peanut needs their asses whooped. That’s a grown ass peanut talking

· Cheetos - Hammer knows he is wrong he shouldn’t have touched it.

· Bud Light – This mix of Inside Out with Post Malone

· Jeep won the night with the groundhog just based on star power

Today we are going to do something a little different than normal. I usually talk about a specific movie or show I watched but this time we are going off the rails. From my picks for next weeks Superbowl, wondering why there aren’t quality giant robot cartoons and movies, and much more…

We get so many sequels, prequels, reboots, and continuations of movies and multiple seasons of shows that should have been cancelled long ago.  All we wanted was more of the Watchmen on HBO but that's not happening.....

We have waited a long time for this movie much like we are still waiting on a new Friday movie. Is this truly the last Bad Boys movie and without Michael Bay will this Jerry Bruckheimer production meet the expectations of the previous two? There may be minor spoilers but I will do my best to keep it light…. Marcus wasn’t the bad Boy we really wanted to be, we all wanted to be Mike Lowrey though at one point, Right?
