When you are a bounty hunter there is a big problem with connecting with people from your past, you don’t have many trustworthy contacts. The Mandalorian is doing everything he can in order to stay two steps ahead of the Guild hunting him and little YoSephus who Disney calls “The child”.

A rag tag bunch of criminal misfits, a now noble bounty hunter, and a cute adorable 50-year-old baby, what could go wrong?

I peeped out the 1st three episodes of the Harley Quinn animated series and ladies and gentlemen. I will have to say that I have always felt Harley Quinn has be over used and shoved down our collective throats much like Deadpool and Wolverine over the years. Now we finally get this and now I am feeling some kind of way.

I walked into this with no expectations other than knowing that it is another take on Harley Quinn. The language is definitely not for kids and I think that is the appeal for me.

This dude has become the most sought-after thing in the Star Wars universe. He is like a fidget spinner from a couple of years ago. They are really using so much of the Star Wars lore it really makes me long to watch the OG trilogy. Little YoSephus really is going to work my nerves by getting into so much stuff knowing he needs to keep his ass put. The Mandolorian is smoother than Denzel in this one but less corrupt.

I love seeing my favorite SHIELD agent but I really think it’s because I have a thing for Ming Na Wen. She has a habit of playing a bad ass but this kid who wants to be a bounty hunter working with the Mandalorian has to have been the biggest dummy ever.

This reverse Training Day episode is pretty good and I enjoy that this series is getting into the action like even though they still have the kind and caring side of this “hardened bounty hunter”.

This week had some serious stuff drop regarding upcoming comic book related movies and television. I would love to take this time to chat with everyone live at 6pm Sunday. We have some serious Box Office and Television bangers going to hit the screens. At a minimum we will discuss:

Episode 4 (Sanctuary) of The Mandalorian is a special kind of animal. This basically lets us know there is no way in hell our hero is going to get romantically involved with anyone. The last episode was pretty much bringing him back to the action I was looking for because Little YoSephus (The Baby Yoda Thingy) has taken the internet by storm. Watching the Mandalorian go toe to toe with MMA Star Gina Carano. Which by the way, she put that thang on him.

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, But That Rent Better Get Paid!

Don’t get caught up with that foolishness because those sales look really good. It’s December 1stand those checks hit the bank but so did that mortgage, electric bill, cable bill, and credit card bills you have been paying on all year.

Don’t get me wrong I am all for a sale but unless it is off the chain I refuse to get caught up in the hype.

Cheap TV’s, Electronics, but none of the stuff you really want is deeply discounted. Maybe the best options are to stay at home and enjoy a few of these streaming video options.

On Netflix – Seis Manos

The plot is set in the fictional town of San Simon in 1970s Mexico and revolves around three orphans trained in Chinese martial arts. When their mentor is killed, they join forces with an American DEA agent and a Mexican policewoman to avenge his murder. I mean what else you need other than that? Oh yeah, the supernatural and Zombie creatures.

You can check out my reviews on the podcast or YouTube as these episodes which have for me have been up and down as far as quality but I don’t hate Jon Favreau getting $15 Million per episode though.

Amazon Prime – The Boys

I recommend this to watch again I will always enjoy any darker version of the Justice League or superheroes in general and there are so many out there but by far Season one of The Boys has a space at the top of those lists.

So finish up the last of that Turkey and get the trash ready for pick up Monday morning and enjoy before all of you have to get back to work.

I just finally finished watching Raising Dion this was the Netflix series about a woman who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark. Sounds like a John Singleton flick at first if it was set in L.A. but when Dion starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities we add a level of complexity that either makes or breaks this series.

Netflix is creating very interesting concepts for their original shows but this one ran through the BLERD community and everyone raced to watch it and review it. I on the other hand had to wait for my wife because she couldn’t binge watch it and didn’t want me spoiling it for her so we watch one episode every so often until we finished and well, I will say I haven’t felt one way or another about this show.

That doesn’t bode well in my GoingFullNerd book because if a show has extreme ups and downs as well as trying to address social commentary all in one it becomes a muddled mess. So let me hit the good, the bad, and the WTF of Raising Dion.

If you remember my last review, I was feeling really skeptical about the direction of The Mandalorian. This current episode actually redeemed itself and that is part of the risk of watching episodic shows. Slowly turning him into the john Wick of the Star Wars Universe this is the type of action I was looking for. Yeah, yeah I know that we have the cuteness of the “kid” (that’s what they are calling the baby Yodaesque creature I dubbed YoMTv) but this episode further reinforces my disappointment in Jango and Boba Fett and their onscreen portrayal in the Star Wars films because this Mandalorian is giving me the badassery I expected from them.

So after a minor dip this series has taken a good uptick in my book and chalk up another instance of Carl Weathers getting his ass handed to him. Maybe the Gator form Happy Gilmore, The Predator and Drago sent the Mandalorian some notes on what to do).

Dude opens up the second episode fighting two rejects from Star Trek and just watching how he fights I know Boba Fett was weak as hell the way he went out in Return of the Jedi. There have been so many complaints about episode length but we are going to discuss where this is going so far and is the Mandalorian worth it after two episodes….
