Tania is a Retired 32 year Law Enforcement veteran, 30 years of that serving in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department as a Detective. Tania had an impressive career with assignments such as Patrol, Child Sex Abuse Unit, Negotiator, Arson/Explosion and K9. Her life then changed on October 5, 2016, when her husband, Sgt. Steve Owen was murdered, execution style, when he responded to a Burglary in-progress call. Steve was shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Tania will take you through her career, that tragic day, and then her journey out of the darkness of depression. With the help of her families strong Faith in God, she was able to "put her big girl pants" on and tackle life head on, becoming an inspiration to many other survivors, and a best selling author of her book, "After the Badge". This is one episode that you cannot miss. It was an emotional show to do, but we got through it, and its very important to Dan and Tom that you hear Tania's story.
