As children of God, He gives us the authority to carry out the purposes of God and advance His Kingdom. In today’s episode, I share about my experience finding confidence in Christ and understanding the authority He has given me throughout my spiritual journey.

In today’s episode, I talk about my very first business trip and how God was able to use me in even the littlest of moments throughout my trip in San Francisco, California. I also share the importance of being available for the Lord to work through you to minister to others and how you can be used in ministry wherever God has you and in whatever season of life you’re in if you simply ask God to provide you with the perfect moments. I also talk about how I am working on being more selfless to allow God to use me in ministry and to share the love of God with others. God wants to use you to share His love wherever you are!

No matter which relational season you're in now (single, dating, engaged or married), it’s important that you recognize God’s purpose for each. In today’s episode, I talk about my previous dating experiences and the importance of having a firm foundation in Christ before entering a relationship as well as making sure your dating relationship is Christ-centered. I also talk about being content in whatever season you’re in, but especially in a season of singleness. God wants to prepare you for what is to come, which is why we need to be content where God has us and be reminded to always put God at the center of your life!

If you've ever experienced hurt in the church, whether that may be from a spiritual leader or mentor, I want to let you know that you are not alone. In this episode, I talk about how I've been betrayed by spiritual leaders and have experienced religious trauma for many years. Although it's been hard to forgive those who hurt me, I've been able to relearn God for who He is and from Him only. I want to remind you that your feelings are valid and that you can forgive those who hurt you with God's strength. Take your pain to the Lord and allow Him to guard your heart against bitterness and soften your heart so that you may be able to allow God to show you His unfailing love. Experiencing religious trauma or hurt from spiritual leaders is more common now than before. I pray you may find some peace in knowing that you are the center of God's love and justice!

No matter what you've done or will do in the future, God will always love you and have a plan to use your story for for His glory; but why do we keep running back to our past sins? If we are united to Christ, then what is true of Him is true of us. We no longer have any excuse to sin. Romans 6 teaches that when we are born again, sin's power is broken in our lives. We are freed from sin and made alive to God through Jesus Christ! In this episode, I share about the times I have tried to relieve the burden of conviction by convincing myself that indulging in my sins is fine, even though I allowed myself to stay stagnant in my faith and almost “sabotage” my God-given blessings. God has great plans in store for you: plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future in Him. Surrender every area of your life to Christ so that you can experience the abundant life He has waiting for you!

The change of seasons can be an exciting time; however, it can also be a time filled with uncertainty and confusion. In this episode, I share about what I am facing as my season of life changes and the importance of building a firm foundation in Jesus Christ through it all. I open up about experiences from previous seasons, the importance of trusting in God to provide and that, even when you are burdened by the sins from your past, the Lord wants to use our testimony and story for His glory! Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Though our seasons change, God remains the same. No matter what season of life the we are in, we must stand firm in our faith and trust that God will provide for our every need as He wants His blessings to overflow in our lives. Take on this season of life, or your next one, by being a good and faithful servant of the Lord and a good steward of your faith by building a firm foundation in Christ!

Have you ever considered yourself to be a "lukewarm Christian"? The term is defined as someone who claims to be a follower of Jesus but lives as though they are sufficient in themselves and don't need Him. In this episode, I open up about my long history of being a lukewarm Christian as well as the many dangers that come with not recognizing your own complacency. Even thought we may attend church on Sundays or say and do the right things, we may not really be fully committed to Jesus nor meaningfully engaged in the calling He has for our lives. Revelation 3:15-16 states: “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." We can't have the best of both worlds as a true Christian. Do we really want Jesus to save us from our sins, or would we rather use Christianity as a cover-up for our own selfish desires and behaviors? The sign of genuine faith in Christ is a passionate commitment to God, His people and the calling He has for us.

Are we deserving of God's grace? In today's episode, I open up about my personal experiences with struggling to accept the grace God gives us as well as the ability to resist temptations in this world. We’re all human; we all sin and we all fall short. We see the messes we’ve made throughout life and think we’re unworthy of God’s love. But the truth is, we serve a God who is Love itself, abounding with mercy and forgiveness for all of us. God’s grace redeems and heals us, but it also calls us to do God’s will instead of our own. With that, God calls us to turn away from our sins and resist worldly temptations by correcting our actions and behaviors so that we may follow God’s will of being good and faithful servants. God calls us higher to be good stewards of our faith and allows us the gift of grace!

Hi everyone, and welcome to my very first episode of the Good and Faithful podcast! I’m Jessica Clark, a recent college grad who decided to finally be obedient to the Lord and walk in the calling He has for me. Creating this podcast has been something the Lord has placed on my heart for a very long time and He’s always given me this knowing that I would, one day, use my story for God’s glory. After finally choosing to give every area of my life to the Lord this year, I’ve seen Him do wonders and radically change me from the inside out. So now, I’m here to tell about the true love and power that God has made readily available for each and every one of us through his son, Jesus Christ. In this episode, I share about the reason why I am creating this podcast and the meaning behind the podcast name, Good and Faithful (such a sweet meaning behind it!). I’m so excited to see how the Lord can use me, my talents, strengths, abilities and my story to show the love and power of our God and how, you too, can experience the fullness and abundant life He has waiting for you!
