Today, Ray takes a 14 minute clip from her recent book study with Caroline and Mikayla where they all talk for a few minutes on how they are figuring out how and when they are self-sabotaging.
0- 5:59 - Ray asks is there an area in your life you feel you keep hitting a wall in?
6:00 - 7:50 - Ray talks about focusing on how she plans more for what bad things could happen instead of the good things that could happen.
7:51 -12:07 - Caroline talks about trying to convince other people she is okay instead of being okay.
12:08 - 17:54 - Mikayla talks about waiting for doors to open and Ray chats about how our brains convince us not to be persistent because it makes us believe other people are luckier and more privilege than we are so it's easier for others to have doors open.
17:55 - 19:33- Ray talks about how her brain is wired to see negativity and sadness as more "realistic" and happiness feels fake or unsustainable to her sometimes.
19:36 - 27:50 - Ray thanks you for listening and talks about the power in having safe spaces/community. Not so you can stay in that bubble but so you can have a place to go, a place to be seen, a place to be heard so you can take a break from the world, rest, regroup and be re-energized for when you have to face tough moments, people, places and situations in the world. Community is important.
