  • All Things Med School (Leiza O'Neil)

For today's episode, I sat down with Leiza O'Neil of Howard University's School of Medicine.  She is a professional with nearly thirty years of experience.  She is planning to release a book titled, "The Nuances of Medical School," in which she provides an honest and in-depth look at medical school.  The sorts of things you won't find through a simple web search.

She is looking to educate our next generation of aspiring medical professionals and better prepare them for the challenges they may face and resources they may not have known were available to help them succeed.

  • Helping Students With Trauma (Dr. Diane Kern)

For today's episode I sat down with Dr. Diane Kern from the University of Rhode Island to talk about her work helping young people dealing with trauma.  We're talking about trauma of all types, including PTSD.  Last season I did an episode with a boots on ground professional helping veterans with trauma.  So, I figured it fitting to do an episode dedicated to understanding and helping children dealing with trauma.

  • COVID-Where to from here?

In today's episode, I sat down with Tyler to talk about something I'd mostly left alone until now.  COVID-19.  The question is, where do we go from here?  This is not a discussion about the virus or the pandemic itself.  This is more a conversation concerning where things may take us based on what we have seen so far.

  • Memorial Day 2021

This episode is for everyone.  If you're a servicemember or vet, give this a listen.  If you're not, please listen too.  For this first episode of the new season, I got to sit down with Tyler C. and Marland C., both themselves veterans.  We're all just talking about Memorial Day, what it means to us, and what it means to America, as we share some stories, laughs and sentiment.

I don't want to spoil what's in this episode, but this is a totally unscripted, raw conversation about something very important to each of us.  Give it a listen and let it resonate.  Then use our words from this episode to go out and do a little more this year than simply thank someone for their service.

  • Episode 4- Election Night Fallout (Tyler C)

For episode 4, I had another sit down with Tyler.  Our last talk on the first episode still holds the most downloads for this podcast.  So, I thought we'd sit down again for a more up to date discussion.  We started off talking about the election, but the conversation quickly took on a life of its own.  If you enjoy raw, honest conversation without the aggression and rudeness, definitely give this one a listen.
