Today's episode is the second and final part of my conversation with Tyler and DJ from the Pours & Pixels Podcast. We had a very raw, honest conversation about video games in 2022, what games had the greatest impact on the industry over the past 25 years and what trend represents the greatest challenge to players today.
For this episode, I sat down with old friends of the show Tyler Carrigan and Aaron DesJardins to talk about their podcast they recently started called Pours & Pixels. In it they're having unscripted conversations with not just industry heavyweights such those behind Fallout 76 or Halo Infinite, but Indie Developers as well. They're already beginning to make waves in the industry, it's quite impressive. Pours & Pixels can be found wherever you listen to podcasts.
For today's episode, I reached out to Rome, Italy to talk to Barbara Sbrocca. Barbara is the creator of the "Baci Sospesi" international art project. It is a sculpture and audio-portraits concept about the human transformative moments that come from love, separation and other experiences in our romantic relationships.
A former director in the world of advertising, Barbara later became a prominent artist, whose work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows as well as being featured in prestigious Italian art magazines, such as Inside Art and Sofa.

For the first episode of the new season, I sat down with Jackie Fowler-Lewis. Jackie was in the foster care system until he was 16 years old. His foster mother was told he'd end up in jail or dead. Fast forward to today, Jackie donates his time as a public speaker and writer helping at-risk youths break the cycles they may come from and grow and find success. He has raised over $27,000 for charity, has a family whom he's devoted, and has 4 books to his name.

This episode is for everyone. If you're a servicemember or vet, give this a listen. If you're not, please listen too. For this first episode of the new season, I got to sit down with Tyler C. and Marland C., both themselves veterans. We're all just talking about Memorial Day, what it means to us, and what it means to America, as we share some stories, laughs and sentiment.
This is a totally unscripted, raw conversation about something very important to each of us. Give it a listen and let it resonate. Then use our words from this episode to go out and do a little more this year than simply thank someone for their service.
*Flashback Episode* Today's episode is the conclusion of our two-part special about race in America in 2021. This episode will be much different than part one. This is a very different perspective on this difficult topic, which you will realize early on. I presented this topic in a two-parter to highlight these differences in opinion. Still, episodes like this are a big reason why I created this podcast. A place for us to have these difficult conversations and express what we think and feel honestly, without judgement.

It's an honest conversation between two people of different backgrounds expressing where we are as a country concerning this sobering topic. The Narragansett Tribal Farm is a major initiative of the Narragansett Indian Tribe and is poised to provide substantial benefits not only to the rest of the tribe, but to much of the local Rhode Island community as well. Steve Smith is the primary point of contact for the fast-growing farm and we talked about some of these benefits, as well as a little of the history of the farm and what the future holds.
This is the conclusion of my conversation with Emilee Mae. Emilee is a writer, editor and yoga instructor based out of Central Minnesota. She is Editor-in-Chief of a lifestyle magazine called Lake Country Journal and will publish her first narrative nonfiction book later this year about traveling solo, mental health and navigating her twenties. Emilee is also the co-owner of an apparel brand, Outfit My Life, an outdoor brand of which proceeds from its sales go to mental health initiatives.
Emilee is very active in providing support and inspiration to others, whether through her writing or boots on ground assistance to those who really need it, both nationally and internationally.
