How can you skip having a fan festival for ALL fans of ALL ages once again? The Sox are honoring season ticket holders in late January but what about everyone else? The disinterest in growing their fan base in a sad state of affairs. Can the Sox benefit from addition by subtraction in 2024? Was Tim Anderson or Yasmani Grandal really the problem? The Royals have made some moves recently that are not terribly flashy but are at least trying. It's still early in the off-season but it's not that early. Are the Sox waiting for the market to play into their hands or are they watching to see what other teams do... maybe they are still wondering what direction to head into? It's an important off-season for Chris Getz and the White Sox. To proceed into the the new direction while searching for that new identity, will Getz part ways with Dylan Cease or even Luis Robert, Jr. to help achieve his vision? When will the Sox be good again and what does that even mean? It's probably different for every fan. There are some pitching opportunities coming back to the Sox and local boy, Nicky Lopez, will also finally be on the White Sox. Who could be next? Rumors swirl that the LA Dodgers are interested in Dylan Cease. Chris Getz has a definite vision and maybe Eloy Jimenez does not fit into that plan and he is the next to go. It seems like a vision of better situational hitting is shared by both Getz and Thames. Tony La Russa is still around in an advisory role and are the Sox listening to offers on Dylan Cease? Chris Getz does not like the team and Jerry Reinsdorf apparently did not care for Sox play-by-play man Jason Benetti... or at least those are the rumors. Benetti is leaving the Sox booth for Detroit. Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Chicago White Sox declined options on Liam Hendriks AND Tim Anderson. Mike Clevinger declined his option with the team and the Sox said thank you to Elvis Andrus and Yasmani Grandal. Dan Plesac from the MLB Network called the White Sox a sleeping giant in 2024 and Chris Getz talked about everything that needs to be done to get the Sox back on track. The Rangers are the World Series champs but it's doubtful that the Sox will be able to copy that script. The offseason is underway and we now wait to see what direction the team heads in.

Nick and Pat talk World Series and if the Chicago White Sox can replicate what the Texas Rangers or Arizona Diamondbacks have done over the last few years. The Sox have hired Matt Wise to be the new bullpen coach. His previous stint was with the Los Angeles Angels and it did not receive favorable reviews from some Angel fans. To keep with the season, Nick and Pat poured over some of the scary stats from the 2023 Sox season.
