Under a newly built artificial playing field you’ll find a custom-built water reservoir which has been constructed out of interlocking palettes, and it will store harvested rain water and also connected to a nearby borehole, and in turn fed into a four-phase water-purification system.

According to a study by researchers in the Faculty of Engineering at Stellenbosch University (SU), children in poorer communities are having to sit through lessons in classrooms with poor insulation and as a result experience unbearably high temperatures in summer and extreme cold in winters, with the added issue of elevated carbon dioxide levels due to efforts to stay warm by closing-off ventilation.
