Reflection is always a good thing to do because it helps bring things into perspective. Recently, I have made the decision to change my focus, so I can truly be content in my current season and appreciate the blessings I already have. 

I can be a wife, mom, and boss, but am I supposed to be focused on all three right now? Could my desire to be all three be more of me proving I can rather than what I am called to do in this season? Do I need more in order to be fulfilled in my roles?

Listen, who made any of us ruler and justice of motherhood? I'm so over the "good mom" vs. "bad mom" mess! Especially since we're ALL out here doing the best we can to raise these kids into decent human beings. 

When is enough, enough? That's the question I have to ask myself every time I feel inadequate as a wife, mom, boss, friend, and every else. But it's important that I see my value in the here and now, and believe that I am enough.

I've been on a journey of discovering my own authenticity and letting go of the unsolicited opinions of others.  As a result, I want to start a new series on the subject, and today is a preview of what the episodes will be about. 

It's becoming a "new normal" to learn that another mass shooting has occurred in our country, and I was starting to become numb to it. But, I realize I can't because that helps no one. 

In my opinion, it's a waste of time aspiring to have a "perfect marriage," when it's the union of two imperfect people? Instead, I think it's better to accept that it's a perfectly imperfect union, where each person is learning to apply grace towards the other. 

As we approach Mother's Day, I just want to let my fellow mothers out there know, " You're doing a good job!"

I may not be for everyone, and that's okay.  However, it's when I allow the thought of not being everyone's cup of tea, to cause me to think less of myself, that there's a problem. Just because someone prefers tea, doesn't mean coffee is good.

I'm over being Superwoman. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I really think that title is for the birds. That's it. That's the description, lol.
