58-Today on our Grace at LAST podcast we explore some prayers that are common in “the church” and ask the question “Is this relevant for me today?” If we waste our time praying futile prayers that are not applicable for me today, what purpose is my prayer? If I don’t understand how God wants to have a relationship with me and I believe things are for me that are not, could I be missing out on what He actually wants for me? Are all the fads, devotionals, T-shirts, bracelets and car plaques really of God? Is He in all of that “bling”? Are the #1 Best Sellers of how to pray powerful prayers to get what we want really the desire of God’s heart? Since the beginning of time there have been ages and epochs and we can learn a lot from understanding them. God has always been the God of all creation but when it comes to prayer, what does He want us to know? Believing lies is bondage and when we believe God is dealing with us the same way He did before Jesus came, it will keep us fromexperiencing the fullness of what is provided toward those who believe. Women, children and other people groups are considered to be weaker and that can open the door to be controlled.
