What happens when angels blow their trumpets- The first movement of their song begins with a quartet of sorts, followed by a refrain. This concert is for the end of the earth as it is, with notes of judgment resounding in the land, sea, water, and sky. Let's look at each of the trumpet blasts.

What is the foremost point Paul gives to Timothy in getting the church of Ephesus back on track- He says to lead in prayer or all peoples. In these verses, we see that the essential nature of prayer in restoring the evangelistic fervor of Christians. We'll see that believers should pray for people in all stations of life -vv. 1-2-, and then we'll note that God saves people from all stations of life -vv. 3-4-.

As we continue our trek through the Old Testament, we are spending a few weeks with these two books.

What can prayer accomplish. The opening of the seventh seal will serve as the catalyst for everything else in this book. So, we're going to see the character and the cause for the seventh seal. It's there that we will see an important lesson in prayer this section serves.

Pastors shouldn't enjoy it, but the heavy burden they bear is to sometimes fight. Paul starts this letter by reminding timid Timothy to challenge false teachers and their teachings lovingly but firmly, and he's now returning to that thought. It may be a heavy weight for the pastor to bear, but Timothy, unlike these false teachers, was no usurper and mustn't lack confidence in what is true and right. He must stand strong, fighting the good fight. These are qualities that, to some degree, all Christians should strive for, but they should also pray for and encourage their pastors to take up this call.

According to the Star Tribune, at least 600 buildings have been damaged in some way in the Twin Cities alone, if not destroyed. Many were local businesses owners who have now lost everything. There's a good deal we could say about all of this, but we're going to focus on one bad justification for rioting from the Bible.

The bad news is that, because of the ongoing restrictions to restaurants, we currently have no place to meet. The good news is that a church offered earlier in the year for us to meet there for free, and everything looks good so far with our move there next month. We request prayer from all those who enjoy this ministry, and -only if you can- we request you consider financial supporting our ministry so we can eventually get a place of our own. Thank you-

Are things going to continue as they are, or will the Lord intervene again- Christians have affirmed, from New Testament onward, the physical, bodily return of Christ to earth. The Apostles' Creed captures that belief for us, which we see here - -from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.-
