Faith Speaks pt.1
If you have a God who is Almighty and infinitely good and gracious, which is the God of the Bible, the God who is, the God who so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins, the God revealed by Christ, wouldn’t you assume He would could heal and would want to heal sick people? I think you would. What kind of God is it, what kind of heavenly Father, who has the ability but didn’t want to heal people, it was just not His will to heal people? He would either be almighty and not good or all good and not almighty.
We have three options when it comes to God concerning healing:
1.God is good but not powerful. His heart is good and compassionate and kind but He is just not able to do this. There’s a problem with that when you consider the many times the Bible calls God the Almighty God, and when you consider these words from Jesus, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Mt.19:26) And what Gabriel told Mary, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Lk.1:38) There is nothing to hard for God. He has all might to heal anybody of any sickness. Jesus proved that in His ministry.
This is serious because a lot of people believe this. Rabbi Harold Kushner wrote a best-selling book entitled When Bad Things Happen to Good People in which he taught that God wanted to do a lot of things that He was not able to do. This, in his view, got God off the hook when people are not healed. When we fail we seek to come up with excuses and this is one of the worse and unscriptural excuses anybody ever came up with... to read more click on the following link: http://www.gracehouseclinton.com/2020/09/faith-speaks

We are currently in a series of messages in the gospel of Matthew I am calling Matthew’s Miracles where we are tracing the miracles of Jesus. Within this Matthew series is a miniseries on the Ministry of Miracles (Matthew chapters 3-9). And within that we have important truths concerning the Preparation for a Miraculous Ministry (chapters 3:13 – 4:22). We have gone over some of this, but this is a good time to review and maybe get a better grasp on what is needed to have the Miraculous Ministry of Jesus. And this is what we are after. We are being conformed into the image of Jesus which includes His ministry. We are being made like Jesus in character and word and deed. We continue His work. But to do that we must be prepared. The word of God teaches us what it takes to be prepared for our God-given ministry. This is the highest calling anyone could possibly have. Wherever you live and with whomever you live, this is your Christian ministry... to read more click on the following link: http://www.gracehouseclinton.com/2020/10/matthews-miracles-ministry-of-miracles-preparation-for-a-miraculous-ministry-birth-baptisms-and-battle

Does God Use Sickness to Chasten His Children?
What we believe about God will affect everything about us. We live out what we believe, and especially what we believe about God. What we be…lieve determines how be…living. The Pharisees had a view of God that was totally different than what Jesus came to reveal about God. And remember, He was the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15). Everything we know about God is revealed to us in the person of Jesus Christ. He was God manifest in the flesh. When you see Him you see God. There is nothing we need to know about God that cannot be seen in Jesus. He came to reveal the Father.
Jesus gives in summary statement what God is like when He said what He did in John 10:10, “The thief came to steal, kill and destroy; but I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” God is good; Devil is evil. Don’t confuse the two. God does good and Satan does evil. God is love and love does no harm to its neighbor. (Romans 13:10) God does no harm to anyone. That is His nature...to read more click on the following link:

How to Get Rid of Unbelief
Let’s Review the Importance of Faith and Unbelief:
1. Behold the Power of Faith!
Faith can accomplish anything God can do because it connects us to the power and will of God. Jesus said, “Have faith in God. For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:22-24) Jesus also said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mk.9:23) Think of that. Let that sink in. Faith makes all things possible in your life.
Hebrews 11 is the faith chapter: “By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice (you can’t worship God without faith); By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death (you can’t make the rapture without faith); By faith Abraham obeyed (you can’t please God without faith); By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead (you can’t pass the tests God gives without faith); By faith Sarah received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age; therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude – innumerable as the sand by the seashore; By faith Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God rather than enjoy the passing pleasures of sin; By faith he forsook Egypt, kept the Passover, passed through the Red Sea; By faith the walls of Jericho fell down; By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe; Gideon, Samson, David, Samuel and the prophets subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens; By faith women received their dead raised to life again.”
The time would fail me to tell of the things people can do by faith. It is the most powerful force on the earth. Faith can do anything God can do. If it is the will of God, faith can do it. Unbelief will cancel the will and power of God in your life. Unbelief can’t do anything God wants you to do or receive anything God wants you to have... to read more click on the following link: http://www.gracehouseclinton.com/2020/07/how-to-get-rid-of-unbelief-and-have-faith-in-god-2

The Ministry of Miracles: Defeating the Devil
The topic of Ministry of Miracles will be a series of lessons within the book entitled “The Miracles of Matthew.” I want us to see how Jesus began His ministry of miracles and so learn something of how we are to begin ours and what all that ministry involves. Remember, we are not just reading Matthew as a history book; we are studying the inspired Scripture which is profitable for doctrine and for instruction in righteousness that we may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2Timothy3:16-17)
Matthew was not just written for our information; it was written for our instruction. Jesus had trained His disciples and before He left the planet He commissioned them to do the same things He had done: go and make disciples, baptizing and teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” (Mt.28:19-20) We do not study the Bible to just learn; we study it to live. Don’t just learn it, live it. In the closing words of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said if we want our house to withstand the storms of life we must hear and do what He says...

The Anointing with the Holy Spirit: How the Christians in the Bible Began their Ministry
We see how important to Jesus it was to begin His ministry with the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Matthew 3:16 where it says, “the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.” That was His personal baptism with the Spirit, His anointing that enabled Him to do His miraculous ministry. As far as the inspired account goes in Matthew and the other three gospels, Jesus did no ministry, certainly no miraculous ministry before this event. This is what equipped Him with power to do what He did. The same had been true of His famous forefather David. Before David killed Goliath, wrote a psalm, or was Israel’s greatest king: “the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.” (1Samuel 16:13) Before Jesus healed anyone, or cast out a demon, or preached a sermon, trained disciples, or did anything in ministry, the Spirit of God came upon Him. We cannot possibly have the ministry of Jesus without this anointing of the Spirit.
In this study we will look at how important this anointing with the Spirit was to the followers of Jesus in the book of Acts. They got this from Jesus before He left. One of the places Jesus gave the Great Commission is in Luke 24:45-49 where Jesus said, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of the Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endured with power from on high.” They had the message and they had the mission: Christ suffered and died, so go to all nations and preach repentance and removal of sins through His name. It couldn’t be clearer... to read more click on the following link:
