Through the miraculous healing of Aeneas and the resuscitation of Tabitha, God reveals that these signs point beyond physical restoration to the greater hope of the gospel: Christ has conquered sin, suffering, and death and will one day make all things new. As His witnesses, the Church is called to trust His sovereign purposes and proclaim the hope of the risen King until the day His blessings fully reach every corner of creation.
Saul's dramatic conversion on the Damascus Road wasn't just a change of mind. It was a total transformation of heart, purpose, and identity. In Acts 9:19-31, we see God's grace give Saul a new mission, sustain him through new suffering, and welcome him into a new family, reminding us that the same gospel still changes lives today. When our lives are centered on glorifying Jesus, the Holy Spirit strengthens His people and continues building His church.
In Acts 9, we witness the dramatic conversion of Saul, a fierce enemy of Christ, whose Damascus Road encounter with the risen Jesus is a powerful testimony to God's amazing, powerful, sovereign and gives hope that even the most hardened sinner isn't too far gone for God to save! Through Saul's story, we are encouraged to trust in the risen Christ, follow the Way, and believe that God is still writing stories of grace today!
The risen Lord Jesus continues His saving work everyday through ordinary, available believers.
