- Offenses are one of Satan’s biggest tools against us

- Destructive to Family, Siblings, and Brothers and sisters in Christ

- Can be legitimate or a grievance-God has a better way to give us freedom

II. Offendable Makes Us Vulnerable (Gen. 4:6-8)

- Sin crouches like a lion at our door

- This lion’s desire is for you and your family! (1 Peter 5:8)

- The Results are like a raging river and affect everyone around us- The root of bitterness (Heb. 12:15)

- God has a better way! (v. 7a)

III. Good News! With God’s Grace We Can Master It (Gen 4:9-10)

- Choose to! The response of an obedient heart to God (Heb 11:4)

I. God Had A Great Plan and Love for Nineveh (Jonah 1:1-2; Hebrews 1:1-2)

- The Word of the Lord came to Jonah Arise and Go

- God’s Love for the world remains the same

- Today, Jesus’ Word to us is the Great Commission, An Imperative (Mt. 28:19-20)

II. Jonah Ran From God’s Will (Jonah 1:3)

- Upset-God’s plan didn’t match what was in Jonah’s heart

- Slept while the storm raged

- Great fish swallowed Him Up and God showed Jonah His grace

- Upset because God saved Nineveh and Jonah lost his shade vine

III. God Saved Nineveh Through Miracles, Preaching, and Obedience (Jonah 3:5-6)

- Believe and Obey-Jesus said I am with you Always

- Practice -When Jesus is with us His Power is with us

- Reject any offense or pride that stands in the way of your obedience

- Receive His Word and His Promise and Arise and Go
