This episode addresses the concept of reciprocal networking and the importance of building genuine, mutually beneficial connections. Drawing from my 14 years of professional experience empowering first-gen BIPOC students, I share the increasingly extractive nature of people reaching out asking to “pick my brain” and emphasize the value of reciprocity in professional relationships. I also share some personal anecdotes, practical tips on how to engage in reciprocity, and encourage you to lead with humility, add value to others, and think of networking as a form of community building.

In this week’s episode we discuss the intersection of chronic illness and entrepreneurship with our guest Nikita Williams.
Nikita is an award-winning Business and Mindset coach, Certified Professional Aromatherapist, speaker, and host of the top-ranking global podcast Crafted to Thrive. She was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2009 and Fibromyalgia in 2010. These diagnoses inspired her to use her previous entrepreneur, community, and corporate experience to jump-start her career as a business coach. She aims to help all entrepreneur women—especially those with chronic illnesses— share their stories and empower them to use their stories as fuel so they can be successful, create the life they deserve, and, most importantly, thrive.
One the show, Nikita shares her personal journey of managing endometriosis and fibromyalgia while building a successful coaching business. She also addresses the challenges and strengths associated with chronic illnesses, the importance of finding alignment in one's work, and the appeal of entrepreneurship for those seeking greater agency over their time and energy.

In this episode, our guest, Luzy King, shares her journey from financial struggle to educating hundreds on stock market investing, especially targeting BIPOC and Latinas for financial prosperity.
Luzy is the founder of Say Hola Wealth, a coaching and consulting agency on a mission to help BIPOC and Latinas reclaim equitable financial prosperity. In 2019, Luzy was denied access to financial advice because she didn't have $100K to start investing and now she has taught hundreds of first gen wealth builders how to break into stock market investing with little as $50.00 per month.
On the show, Luzy discusses the concept of decolonizing one's money mindset, outlining the importance of unlearning societal and cultural beliefs about wealth. She addresses the necessity of mentorship, explores the burden of familial financial responsibilities, and stresses the power of investing in oneself.
You can connect with Luzy on Instagram with the handle @sayholawealth and through her website www.sayholawealth.com
