''You never get what you deserve its what you negotiate''

In business, nothing will be handed to you on a plate, and certainly you will not get what you deserve, even if you do work for it, its about what you negotiate!

Life will never give you anything by accident or because you think you deserve it. You must work for it and provide enough value upfront.

If your not prepared to fight every day for what you want, then you will be dominated by others.

'Be grateful but never satisfied' is a something I live by and I think it is important to do so.

I had a conversation with someone recently who did not agree with this, and said that it sounded 'ignorant'.

Being grateful for certain things in life is important, good health, good people around you, the opportunities you create, the things you achieve in life, family & friends  etc etc, however it is also important that you are not just 'satisfied' with your current progress or situation. 

The world is constantly evolving, and to thrive and survive, I believe that it is important that as individuals, businesses or even relationships, that we do aswell otherwise your just standing still. This can be in any areas of life, also anything can happen which could change your circumstances, especially in this fast evolving world we live in. So I explain a bit about this in this episode.

The full length of interview of technology and marketing entrepreneur Jim Brigden.

Jim is currently an executive of 'Brainlabs', a digital marketing agency, and is also a multiple business investor in the Tech and digital marketing space.

Starting from the Corporate world, he transitioned into Business  and has taken multiple companies to acquisition and worked at board level for many others, he has also had a spell at Yahoo.

Jim is a very positive and humble guy who takes everything in his stride, he has made the most of his career every step of the way, sticking to his core values, adapting and changing, and always keeping ahead of the curve, which has been the recipe to his success.

People may assume that being an 'Entrepreneur' or 'Business owner' means you will make loads of money, and that may be true, however there needs to be more to it to win and be successful.

Do you do it for the Passion, the thrill of Business? What problems are you solving?

Do you have a much higher purpose? Are you trying to build a legacy?

One thing I have learnt Stepping back into Business again, is that to be really successful and to make lots of money, you need to be in Business for more than just 'the money'. Chasing money only gets you so far and is not sustainable, you need to love 'The Game' of it and everyones 'game' is different.

How good you are at the 'Game' will ensure how successful you are and how much money you will make.

Anything worth having takes work, there is no way around it, and sometimes it will be hard, however just being it for the money will only get you so far, especially when things don't go your way.

This applies to anything that you are trying to achieve not only Business but in other areas too.

Being 'direct' with people is a very important trait and a must if you want to be a good leader and successful business owner.

Communication is key in Business, and sometimes its not just about giving directions or orders, it may mean laying people off or giving them some harsh truths which may be uncomfortable.

Some people can see this as being 'harsh or rude' however the reality is, is that by being honest and direct with people you are actually benefiting them.

Also, saying 'No' to people is another really important trait and one that is very rare amongst people. I myself have struggled with this, as we feel that by saying 'No' we are letting people down or 'looking bad'. whereas the reality is, by not saying no we fall victim to being controlled by others and benefiting no one.

Sometimes in life you will come across certain opportunities or chances that you may feel like you want to take.

However, there may be things in the way that hold you back. It may be the amount of work involved, certain commitments or it may be the fact that by doing it will put you in an uncomfortable place.

The thing is, the only way your going to make these happen is by embracing the whats needed to do in order to get the result.

Unfortunately certain people are not willing to commit in some ways in order to make things happen.

'Trust the Process' 

This term gets use a lot I've found, but what does it actually mean?

What is 'The process?' 

Everything that you want to do, or try to achieve, has a series of events or commitments that are needed in order to get a result. Sometimes it may not work sometimes it might, its all a 'Process' 

Its a constant Graft of trying, failing, reviewing and being aware and certainly not something you can read in a book!
