Let's not forget Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is not simply a day in the season of Advent. And it's not just a day. It's a practice and there's simply some element of the wonder of Christmas receiving that we can’t fully enter into without the discipline of gratitude. One of my favorite passages on thanksgiving is found in Philippians 4:4-9. In these few words, I think Paul gives one of the most amazing anxiety-hacks in the world. Here’s what he says,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
