  • Interview: Oli Rainsford (Vocals/Bass) of Krooked Tongue
‘Nothing Ever Grows' is the new single from Bristol rock trio Krooked Tongue, released September 6th, 2024. It follows 2023's second studio EP 'Deathproof' which has been streamed over 320,000 times to date.

'Nothing Ever Grows' was recorded and produced with long-time producer Josh Gallop at Stage 2 Studios in Bath, a brooding number which serves to highlight the importance of a positive mental attitude.

    October 9th - 229 The Venue, London
October 10th - Tiny Rebel, Cardiff

  • Interview: Party Cannon from The Garage, London (23/09/24)
The Vomitour 2024 has seen everyone’s favourite party slam band, Party Cannon, hitting up city after city across the UK alongside hardcore noise mongers Street Soldier and Pintglass. A tour that has already seen sell out venues, more inflatables than should be legally allowed, utter carnage in the pits, and even mayonnaise! After all, it’s a Party Cannon show!
A show that we summed up with this statement:
There isn’t a single person not grinning from ear to ear and London made sure Party Cannon enjoyed themselves too, based off their smiles. We all might be feeling a bit dumber following the show, but we’re all that little bit happier.
You can read our full review of the show here: https://www.gbhbl.com/live-review-party-cannon-with-pintglass-and-street-soldier-at-the-garage-highbury-islington-london-23-09-24/
London marks the halfway point of the tour and it finds the band in very good spirits. Willing to talk not just about the current tour, but the Party Cannon lifestyle, their dedicated fanbase, seeing and feeling the progression in the band, being pigeon-holed, the drawbacks of pouring hot sauce into your eyes, scary fandoms, and something unspeakable about Robbie Coltrane.

  • Interview: Silvern
Hailing from Ukraine, Silvern are a black metal band who released their debut full-length album ‘Stardust Sermons’ via Vendetta Records on September 6th, 2024.
It’s been a challenging journey to release, with multiple postponements due to the full-scale aggression from Russia, but the album has finally seen the light of day. Telling a conceptual story that surrounds a faceless character as their perception of reality shifts through various encounters and challenges. It highlights the duality of human belief, showing that not everything black is truly black, and not everything white is truly white.
The album showcases a raw and primitive style of black metal enhanced by bleak atmosphere. It’s a debut that unleashes billowing darkness via a flood of melancholic savagery with a mind-altering level of storytelling. It’s coarse and it’s harsh, but it is compelling.
You can read our full review of the album here: https://www.gbhbl.com/album-review-silvern-stardust-sermons-vendetta-records/
We spoke to Silvern about the creative experience and the journey to this point. Rotherham sludge trio Swamp Coffin return on 27th September with their 2nd album ‘Drowning Glory’. Released on APF Records this is their heaviest, most powerful and most miserable record so far. We spoke to vocalist/guitarist Jon Rhodes about the new album, delving into the creative process and how Swamp Coffin got to this place. We also talk about experimentation, causing carnage in the live environment, what plans they have for the future, and so much more.
