March is #WomensHistoryMonth As always, we highlight great Asian and Asian American women performers, such as teen punk band The Linda Lindas, indie sensation Mitski & Japanese Breakfast, K-Pop groups BLACKPINK & STAYC, Malaysian singer songwriter Yuna, Indonesian R&B singer Niki, and Japanese groups CHAI [pictured] & ATARASHII GAKKO! that fuse 'kawaii' aesthetics with punk, indie and hip-hop.

During the first hour, we'll listen to some new music from various Asian and Asian-American artists. We hear from a lot of wonderful women: A three song spotlight on Mitski's latest album Laurel Hell, new & recent singles from The Linda Lindas, CHAI, beabadoobee, H.E.R., AUDREY NUNA, BIBI, Heize, thuy, Yuna.

The last hour focuses on classic soul & funk, including the late Betty Davis [R.I.P.] and Japanese city pop star Miki Matsubara.

It is the last week of #blackhistorymonth, and we are going to take a look at some great Black artists, albums, and songs. Jazz. Blues. Rock. Soul. Funk. Hip-Hop.

Lunar New Year starts after the first new moon of the Lunar year and ends after the first full moon. This marks the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring. Each year is represented by one of 12 Chinese zodiac animals, which is done in a preceding cycle. 2022 is The Year Of The Tiger.

February is #BlackHistoryMonth, and the 2nd hour of this week's show spotlights just a faction of great Black artists, albums, and songs.
