More than 200 jobs in Tokoroa have been lost as the Kinleith Mill closes its paper production division Mill owners Oji Fibre Solutions signalled last year that it was considering closing the paper mill, citing rising production costs and falling paper prices. Green MP Tamatha Paul grew up in Tokoroa, and attended a community meeting in December which looked at options to save Kinleith. She spoke with Charlotte Cook.
