Brett and Greg sit down to talk about his experiences throughout his career and his views on the past, present and future of Social Security benefits.

Greg has 18 years of experience in wealth management and financial planning.  Greg has a passion for helping his clients maximize their Social Security benefits and speaks to groups to educate and help others make wise decisions regarding their Social Security options.  He works to continually improve income and distribution strategies for his clients and enjoys helping them throughout the process of growing and preserving wealth.

Greg found his passion for helping others on the golf course, where he worked as a golf professional after college.  A friend of his brought him into the financial services industry, and he found plenty of successful people on the golf course who became his clients.  Since starting in the financial services industry, Greg has spent time at Northwestern Mutual and Merrill Lynch. Working for these two companies provided him excellent perspective on wealth management.  

Greg joined Visionary in January 2015 to align himself with a group of talented advisors that he has a great deal of respect for and appreciates the insight they gain from one another.  Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designations.

He grew up in Marion, Illinois and resides in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area.  He has been married for 26 years to Sarah, and they have two grown children, Andrew and Rachel.  Greg is an avid golfer and a member of Sunset Hills Country Club. He also supports First Baptist Church in Maryville, Swing Fore Hope, and Edwardsville Neighbors in Need.
