When I got the dreaded news that I was in store for my first ever root canal I was terrified! I've only ever heard horror stories. And yet, my experience was nothing of the sort! Traumatic, terrifying, dreadful... Not a chance!

When faced with the choice to stay in a job that's no longer fulfilling or take a risk to chase your passions, the decision is clear: never stop chasing your calling.

"I believe that all of us should have the opportunity to chase our dreams, to go after our calling, to light up our passions each and every day. We just have to be willing to fight for it, to make changes, to take risks and well, because what's the alternative?"

I was inspired by Meredith Hill's story shared inside of Episode 135 where she has never stop chasing her calling in pursuit of her passions. This got me thinking about my own life and how I got to where I am today. I originally started my podcast while owning my own travel agency. I loved being a travel agent and helping people with their vacations, but I realized that it wasn't what I was truly meant to be doing. I decided to make the difficult choice to walk away from being a travel agent and embark on a new chapter in my life. This life is way too short for us not to be living in our highest potential possible each and every day.

Marjorie Turner Hollman is a writer, editor, and walking trail advocate. She is the author of a series of guidebooks called "Easy Walks" which help people discover easy walking trails suited for a variety of disabilities and abilities.

"The truth is that the seasons change even when you're in the same place."

Marjorie Turner Hollman was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery that left her partially paralyzed. Despite this, she has remained active, walking with the help of trekking poles, and has even written a series of books about easy walks for people with disabilities. The outdoors has been a big part of her healing journey, giving her a place to find peace and consistency.

Kevin Lowe was a normal teenager until the results of an MRI set him on a path he never could have imagined. First it was the news of a brain tumor. Next, it was the earthshattering realization that the tumor’s removal left Kevin completely blind.

"I don't know why I was never angry with God. I don't know why I didn't do what most people do and turn my back on God and say, how could you allow this to happen? And if this could happen, then you must not be real. Instead I clung to my faith…”

A woman who slowly lost her hearing over 15 years, to the point where she is now clinically deaf, tells her story of how she's adapted and overcome, including her decision to get a Cochlear implant. 

This woman, Angela Irwin is an advocate for the deaf community and a Cochlear Implant recipient. She is originally from a small farm town in South Dakota, but has lived in France with her husband for over the past 10 years. Angela has been featured in various publications and media outlets, sharing her story of loss, hope, and triumph. One such appearance is Angela's incredible TEDx Talk.

Angela Irwin was born with normal hearing, but gradually lost her hearing over the course of 15 years. It's only through the power of technology that Angela can hear the world around her. This technology is a Cochlear Implant.

Today through Angela's own foundation she works tirelessly to do her part in helping others around the world to have access to this same life-changing technology.
