Tim Branyan began his career as an Airman in the United States Air Force, but would soon realize that was not the path he wanted to continue on.

In 2011 with no formal education and only $6,241.56 Tim launched his first app. That would be the start of a whole new chapter in Tim Branyan's life!

Since then he has launched hundreds of apps, developed hundreds of platforms, and directly supported other multi-million-dollar organizations.

Their son River passed away in a drowning accident in their family swimming pool. The way in which this family has kept going, guided by their faith and inspired by the memory of their son River has been truly humbling to watch.

And that is why I felt so compelled that I mention them in today's episode.

Imagine if we all smiled a little more, laughed a little harder, loved a little bigger... Wouldn't that be a better place to live?

Rob Dubin is a photographer and filmmaker who is best known for his work documenting adventure sports around the world. In 1993, he and his wife were stranded in a blizzard while on a backcountry ski trip, an ordeal that was widely publicized and led to a call from the President of the United States. After his wife made a full recovery, which is a full-story in of itself, the couple sold everything and spent the next 17 years sailing around the world.

None of us know how we will react when faced with trauma. Will we be brave? Will we be the person who continues to be happy, always smiling, laughing, cracking jokes, even when face-to-face with our own mortality? Or will we close out the world and fall deeper into ourselves, completely absorbed by the horrific nature of our reality?

As you dive into today's episode I encourage you to keep this thought in the back of your mind... What kind of person do I want to be? How do I want to be remembered? Can I do it...
