It’s that time of year again where GDM Christopher tries to bribe GDM Jay into DMing for the yearly tournament and fails miserably at it. The tournament was however a rousing success. He goes over all the details of setting this thing up and making it run smoothly. Needless to say it’s a lot of work.

GDM Jay on the other side of things finds out that converting from one system to another mid game isn’t always what the players want. Who would have imagined that? Also his first foray into Dungeon Crawl Classics as actual adventuring classes. Naturally chaos ensues.

It’s been a bit, but our good buddy Reverend Panda has returned to the show to get caught up on all the latest hub-bub. The guys spend some time chatting with him about the upcoming D&D changes and what’s good or bad about it. Also with the recent release of the Magic the Gathering Lord of the Rings set and the “One Ring” card being found the guys devise an incredible idea of what to do with the card.

GDM Jay got ahold of the Wendy’s RPG module and talks about it with the other guys. What’s not to love about a game that lets you play characters that are Order of the Baconator or Order of the Frosty. Makes me hungry thinking about it. The yearly event of RPG day is upon us once again and the GDM guys spent the day role playing and trying to acquire free swag. Naturally GDM Christopher who lives in civilization managed to obtain goodies while GDM Jay, who lives in the haunted woods managed to snag some lumps of coal.
It wasn’t all for naught however as GDM Jay did get an opportunity to finally play and run Dungeon Crawl Classics and have an awesome time. He fills in GDM Christopher on the shenanigans and compares the 2 different modules and quality of writing.
Also GDM Jay finally was able to back Gloomhaven the RPG as well as GDM Christopher talks about Foundry making their own gaming system for their Virtual Table Top to be introduced in the future.

James is an author, editor, and co writer for a number of projects, such as Critical Role Exandria, Baldurs Gate: Descent into Avernus, and a fantastic setting currently on Kickstarter, Aetherial Expanse. It’s been a strange week for the guys. Diablo IV sort of released to the public and it’s stolen GDM Christopher’s soul. GDM Jay on the other hand has been locked out and is fuming mad about it. So what does he do when he’s mad? Apparently he finds a new table top game to fall in love with.

The boys are back and this time it’s just the 2 of them. It’s been an interesting week of news with WotC again and the guys are on top of it. Apparently they are going to be raising the prices of there books by $10 and making it more difficult for local game stores. Naturally the Grumpy Dungeon Masters have a lot to say about this tomfoolery.

It’s not all a downer though. GDM Christopher has a story to tell about a new player rogue who did new player rogue things. Also his daughter helped him to create a dungeon that he’s going to run in the future and it’s better than his own dungeons. Also GDM Jay has found even more stupid and useless magic items to ruin everybody’s fun.

Hey guys. This week we had another great guest…or in fact 3 great guests. David Kenzer, Brian Jelke, & Jolly Blackburn from Kenzer & Company (Kenzer Co). For anybody not familiar with them they have been around the table top gaming scene since the 90’s and are responsible for some of the amazing products we’ve talked about on this show before. Hackmaster, Kingdoms of Kalamar, and Knights of the Dinner Table are just a few that come to mind.

While the podcast may have been a bit more chaotic than normal, the conversations were good. The guys delve into the history of Kenzer Co and how they all got a start in the business end of things as well as finding out about the creative process they use as a team. GDM Jay, being a huge fan of Kalamar also had to regale them about his love for hobgoblins. Anyways, a big thanks to the guys for doing the podcast.

The GDM guys are back with another great episode of them talking about the most recent D&D Unearthed Arcana. You can tell from their voices that they absolutely love the direction Wizards of the Coast is taking D&D 5.5! I’m sure the new Warlock will be better than the old Warlock!
Ok, seriously though they do talk about many of the upcoming changes such as the Warlock, Mastery weapon abilities, and the ability to actually adjust spells permanently in the next edition. Some of it is good, some of it isn’t, and the GDM guys will give you some details so you can decide which.
They also talk about the most dangerous monsters for encounters. The answers may surprise you!
