77. The Beard

Jason Parker was looking for a job. He had applied to ten positions. Still, no one was hiring him. He didn't understand why no place wanted him. Jason had a positive and confident personality. His references proved he was reliable. He couldn't see anything wrong with himself.

杰森帕克在找工作，他已经申请了10个职位，但仍然没有一个聘用他。他不明白为什么没有地方需要他。杰森的个性积极自信，他的介绍信证明了他是个可靠的人，他实在找不出自己有什么问题。

He asked his friends what they thought was wrong. "It's your beard!" they all said. Jason didn't believe them. He thought his beard was attractive and manly. "It doesn't look good on you," his friends said. "You look homeless and dirty." After that Jason shaved the beard off. He hated it, but he was hired in his next interview.

他问他的朋友到底哪里出了问题。“是因为你的胡子！”他们全都这么说。杰森不相信他们，他觉得他的胡子很有吸引力，而且有男人味。“留胡子让你的形象不好”他的朋友们说，“你看起来像个肮脏的流浪汉”从那以后，杰森就把胡子刮掉了。虽然他很讨厌这样，但是他在下一次面试中就被录取了。
