Larry Tomczak graduated cum laude from Cleveland State University where he served as president of the student body.

After a position at the AFL-CIO Headquarters in Washington, D.C., he became involved in a city-wide teaching ministry and for the past forty years has given himself to planting churches, training leaders and authoring eight books, including the quarter-million best seller, Clap Your Hands, plus Divine Appointments and Reckless Abandon. He is Executive Director of The Awareness Group (T. A. G.) and has 4 children. Larry and his wife Doris were wed in 1976 and live in Nashville, Tennessee
