GUEST MIX SERIES

Canadian vibe master Pacific Coliseum has recently released his breezy new LP 'Blue Universe' via the ever wonderful Coastal Haze label. Fans of the oceanic wanderer will no doubt be all over this as it picks up where the last LP left off really, in search of sun blushed clouds, breaking waves & city walks. His last LP 'Ocean City' was also a firm favourite here at SB so we're thrilled to have him take us on board this ride into his musical cosmos.

Since the inception of his solo career, Italian born Luca Cazal has achieved much in a short space of time. With an impressive discography across a variety of aliases, including the hugely successful Infinity Ink, Hot Natured and Luca C.& Brigante groups, he’s released via household names: Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, Southern Fried to name a few. In the studio, Cazal draws from a deep well of inspirations that spans Electro, Dub and the classic house and Techno heritage of his homeland. Pair this with an unwavering obsession for hardware and flair for live performance to get a sense of the distinct personality captured in Cazal’s productions.

An avid digger and record collector, whilst humble, driven and devoted to the craft, Cazal is completely at home during both peak time and long-form sets. As an international DJ, he makes regular stops at club culture’s most lionised spaces including Fabric, Club Der Visionnaire, Panorama Bar and of course Ibiza’s DC10 of which he’s been a longstanding resident for, now over seven years and counting.

Constantly evolving, Cazal took first forays into label owning in 2014, first establishing Double Drop with long-term peer Brigante, followed by its See Double offshoot. Since launching both labels have offered material from bastions of the scene: Ivan Smagghe, The Mole, Boris Werner and more, across releases still championed amongst house and techno luminaries.

Welcome Luca to the SlothBoogie Guestmix series... time to get Friday Jack'd.

Brighton’s Tech Support is destined for big things.

The mild-mannered DJ and producer, known as Ned Dickinson to his friends, already finds himself caught up amongst some of the most talented artists and selectors of the moment, and deservingly so.

At just 21, there are a stack of EPs on labels from the UK to the U.S. bearing Tech Support’s name. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find equally impressive work under long forgotten aliases.

On top of his 12” releases found in the likes of Juno and Piccadilly Records, Tech Support’s digital presence sees him racking up over 100,000 views on esteemed Youtube dance channel Houseum, alongside the likes of Folamour, Baltra, and Lone.

Strap yourselves in, Friday is off to a cracking start.

This week we have something a little different in the mix series… We’ve been chatting to Medlar about a mix for a while now and when we last got in touch it turned out he’d just recorded a fun B2B session with another local South London mate.

We were intrigued and when it turned out to be packed full of premium boogie and warm up vibes during that UK downpour we snapped it up for the series right away. So get cozy with an incense stick burning and crack open some cold ones for the next hour of good times.

Medlar: "I recorded this mix with my good friend, the talented artist and barber, DJ Marshal Darling (Lucky Dragon🐉). A one in a million guy who can always rely on to bring the best cuts. We recorded it with zero planning, 2 turntables, a cdj and a fancy rotary mixer. We are the bozak horsemen."
