  • SlothBoogie Guestmix #374 - Tour-Maubourg
Tour-Maubourg is a leading light in France’s thriving underground music scene. He has been an entrenched part of Pont Neuf Records ever since the label’s inception, his releases have cast him as one of the country’s most exciting producers of the genre in recent years. Now, Spaces Of Silence further showcases the eclecticism of his sound, forming a body of work that blurs the lines of soulful house, nu-jazz and everything in between. Add to that a fast-emerging touring schedule that has seen him play in Paris, London, and Berlin amongst others, to see that 2022 has been a career highlight for the Frenchman: and long may it continue.
To celebrate the launch of Spaces Of Silence, Tour has brought his A-game to the SB mix series for your listening pleasure. Enjoy.

  • SlothBoogie Guestmix #373 - Feelings Worldwide
Bursting onto the scene in 2014, Feelings Worldwide - brainchild of London residents, Karl Karlson and The Menendez Bros - cemented itself into our hearts with Keith Lorraines bass lines and saxophone hooks on the Revival EP in 2017. Ever since a steady stream of choice cuts and authentic house music has found its way onto the label, avoiding any pander to trends and standing tall for quality. It's with great pleasure we host Karl in the guestmix series, as he takes you through the back catalogue and beyond to forthcoming material.
Essential listening for all the heads.

  • SlothBoogie Guestmix #368 - Derek Russo
Derek Russo is a Brooklyn, NY based deejay, producer, promoter & educator.
Russo has come to possess a unique sound culled from years of digging and DJing a variety of gigs. Bred in Washington, D.C. he spent 14 years in Colorado and was an integral component of the small but rock solid underground scene there.
He’s now based in thriving Brooklyn, NY. His DJ sets can run across the board and is adept at delivering high-energy sets of Boogie, Funk, Balearic and Disco, next to deeper narratives combining House & Techno with leftfield excursions into more complex rhythms that blur those lines, finding the unique thread amongst it all, and always combining older gems with newer music.
"I put a loose pile of records together and pressed record, the goal being to present a micro journey through different strands and moods of house and techno, old and new, mostly stuff I've acquired in the last year and some older favourites that I love. Recorded in my apartment in Brooklyn. Thanks for listening :)"

  • SlothBoogie Guestmix #367 - The Mole
Normally an elusive creature, The Mole can usually be found behind a DJ booth during the wee smoky hours in the midst of long, drawn-out sets. Known for his love of sonic collage and musical noodling, he boasts a long and colourful list of releases for labels like Perlon, Ostgut Ton, Slices of Life, Circus Company, Haunt, Musique Risquée, New Kanada, Internasjonal and longtime home Wagon Repair.
"Fun story. My old friend Lex recorded this mix at a party here in Victoria, on a whale watching boat, with his minidisc, in 97! He's been telling me about the recording for years. Only now that I've moved back to this lovely island have I had the chance to hear the mix. Time warp. I often feel like I having conversations with a younger me. This is a nice one. =)"

  • SlothBoogie Guestmix #365 - Marcel Vogel
"I feel we could call this a deep cuts disco-funk mix in the broadest sense of the tagline. Just a lot of tunes I collect and maybe the stuff I find personally most interesting, jazz funk, disco funk, psychedelic rock etc. I am taking liberties here. As a father of two, I am under hard time constraints. But since my studio at home is finished, I have the possibility to a) hang with my records again b) keep collecting records for a mix over several days. so the mix builds up inside of me already. i go for walks. listen to more music. and then when it needs to come out, it comes out. Didn't wanna play too many people would immediately know in the mix and at the same time, that I can make people fall in love and discover something new. that's the point hey? finders keepers. i hope the vibe resonates, I've definitely dug a bit deeper to keep everyone entertained. Enjoy, @marcelvogel "
