In this episode, Nina and her friends talk about how to be single and thrive in quarantine!  Nina introduces you to a new voice coming from her friend Chelsea Briggs. Chelsea lives in LA and works for Billboard so her life is usually very full of red carpets, celebrities, and everything that is pop culture, music and entertainment.  Her job/jobs require a lot of her time which she loves BUT it is really powerful to hear her reveal in her Diary that it took her going from having 2 full-time jobs down to basically a part-time job for her to find herself again.  Is that a journey she would have ever taken without a global pandemic?  Would any of us face ourselves the way we are now if we weren't forced to?  Chelsea is also THRIVING now and has had some serious success on FaceTime dates so she encourages Nina to try.  We'll see if Nina will take her girl's lead!?  Producer Angie's life has become consumed by Tik Tok and the ladies discuss how to do hot yoga at home.  This episode is definitely action packed!  Enjoy.

In this episode, Nina brings in her good friend Loren from Boston, "The Parking Lot Squatter!"  Loren is an award-winning radio host and a very special friend of Nina's because of the bond they've created over the years working in radio.  They talk about the support that they've given to each other and the importance of building a strong "girl gang".   You'll also learn why Nina has dubbed her "The Parking Lot Squatter" in a hilariously relatable story!  Loren opens up about what it's like to lose your job in the middle of a pandemic all while being a new mom and experimenting with new ways to successfully communicate with your husband in quarantine.  She's inspiring, honest, and hilarious especially when it comes to teeth brushing and chocolate cake!  We know you'll love her like we do!!!! (ALSO, please be patient with us because it's the first recording we did over zoom and the quality of the audio is a little different than usual.)

Everywhere we go we hear people say or read signs that say, "We are in this together".  While that is true we want to take that statement a step further and use this space to really be in this together by sharing diary entries.  Not just our entries but yours. In this episode, we feature Brittany from Seattle who explains, why for her, mindset matters and why she's been taking so many walks to the mailbox.  Nina and her friends also continue to explore dating in a pandemic, little things you can do to help your friends and manage subconscious stress.

This episode is the second entry of the Quarantine Diaries series within Guilty Pleasures and Growing Pains where Nina and her friends, Krista and Angie, talk about what's been going on in quarantine.  They're all still coming to work and practicing safe social distancing while discussing passion projects that have been picked up, lack of motivation, seeing a dead man wheeled out of his home and whether or not it's a good idea to date right now.  There is definitely a mix of emotions that supports how important it is to stay connected to your people right now.

Quarantine Diaries is the start of a new series within Guilty Pleasures and Growing Pains.  Nina has pulled out her diary!  She's writing and sharing stories about her time All By Herself in quarantine. There are tears, laughs, self talks and wine!!!  You'll hear her express her guilt over missing a podcast and find out what happened after she started a relationship with Jack Ryan.  Juicy bootys, thank yous, and peanut buttaaaaa cookies all included.  Who knows what the pages will reveal but this is where it starts.

Nina and her friends Gabe, Krista and Angie have come together for a mimosa Friday and to discuss their thoughts around COVID-19.  How are they staying safe?  What are the "essential items" they're looking for on amazon?  How are people dating now!?!?!  AND it's Gabe's Birthday weekend!  It's definitely a tough time to celebrate a birthday and nothing feels normal but they're here to create a conversation and to bring you a little bit of relief.  Enjoy and please stay safe!

Nina, Krista, and Angie asked eachother the question, "Can You Have It All?" and  it left them divided so they called in the "Renaissance Woman" for insight.  Arabel Alva Rosales is an entrepreneur that has been described by Chicago Magazine as a “Renaissance Woman” because of her ability to discuss various topics from concerns on Wall Street, to global issues, to what is happening in our own backyard.  Arabel is also a good friend of Nina's so Nina knew that bringing her in to share her story and her thoughts on the topic would spark a colorful conversation.  Did they answer the question?  It definitely makes you think.
