A crazy week, We learned a few minutes before podcast that the legendary Tommy John had passed away. John will always be remembered for his 26 years in the Majors, but will live on with the ground breaking elbow surgery that made him famous. As the World Cup comes to an end, we have seen the greatest game yesterday, between England and France. As we celebrate this historic day, the 250th of birthday of our country, we cannot forget the people that made a name in building the greatest country on earth. The GURU takes time to reflect and remember people from George Washington to George Washington Carver, from Paul Revere to Malcolm X, from Betsy Ross to Angela Davis. Our country isn't perfect, but for this day, let's not focus on the negative but look forward to the promise of the future. The failures of the past can be changed, if we work harder for change.

Today we celebrate the 250th birthday of these United States. The GURU takes time to reflect on the great accomplishments of this country. Sports and talk about some of the teams that have patriotic names like the Yankees, Patriots, Eagles, Union, Liberty and the Americas. This is the first, and only time we will celebrate this historic day. Stay tuned for the second part of this podcast.

Happy belated Father's day to all. This episode is coming from my truck while at work. Not to much to talk about, but did you get a chance to see the New York Knicks parade? And the girls fighting, twerking and acting crazy? What a sight...lol. Congrats to the Knicks again and to the Carolina Hurricanes for winning the Stanley Cup. Soccer, the World Cup has been great for the United States. We have made real progress in this tournament. After 53 years, the New York Knicks are world champs! This is the greatest championship run of any sports team in history. This whole series has been wild, crazy, and unbelievable for anyone that watched it. The way the Knicks were calm under the pressure of being down in every game in this series was unbelievable. The Ssn Antonio Spurs were young and they might be back, but after what the Knicks did, we will have to see. Congrats to team USA in their win over Paraguay in the opener of the World Cup. The New York Knicks keep on rolling! The San Antonio Spurs are scrambling to find their identity and a way to slow down the Knicks. The Vegas Golden Knights grabbed a 2-1 series lead over the Carolina Hurricanes in two overtime. The winner of the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes was Golden Tempo.
