For the past 38 years, Lee Corso has entertained us with his silly, zany, and sometime foul mouth humor. 430 total times he wore the head gear, 45 times he made our Ohio State Buckeyes his choice. On Saturday afternoon, August 30th, Corso, put on the Brutus the Buckeye's head gear for the final time. Exactly where it all began in 1996. At 90, we don't know how much longer our coach will be around, but it's only the best way to leave the big stage. I HAD A REALLY GREAT TIME WATCHING ALABAMA AND CLEMSON LOSE YESTERDAY! F-em! Today is very busy, another podcast to be on, my league's fantasy football draft and a jersey selection for the draft. August 24th is a very special day. 20 years ago, my son was born and I wanted to share this special time with everyone. June 5th, August 23rd are also special days on the calendar. I always remember Donte's special day, and yesterday we remembered the late, great Kobe Bryant. Kobe would have celebrated his 47th birthday. The NFL season is right around the corner, and it's draft time. "It's hard out here for a commish!" This is what I have been preaching to the members of our fantasy football league. Family and All Stars tops this episode. After a great time with the family this weekend, the GURU took some time to chill out with the cousins in Philly. What a time for all stars. We had the first ever Swing Off in the MLB All Star game. We also seen the future of the game with the automatic robot strike zone. The changes in baseball are great but I still like to see a umpire behind the plate. Give it up for the WNBA All Star game as well. Skylar Diggins, the first player in league history to record a triple-double. Napheesa Collier scored 36 points, the most in All Star history to lead her team over Team Clark 151-131. The evening was lead by all players wearing the "Pay Me What You Owe Me" t-shirt. The GURU agrees with them. This league has grown and now they should be treated with equally and respect.
