On this episode of Hamilton Happy Hour, our usual hosts, Tobias, Mike, and Mike, are joined by returning guest Ian Minnerly of Minnerly Media and brand-new guest Rick Maharajh, Executive Chairman and Founder of the Boynton Beach Online Chamber of Commerce. We gather to discuss how groups like the BBOC have worked to promote their local communities, and have done so not only to stimulate the economic development of their businesses, but also to help those businesses to leave a lasting impact and legacy in said communities. Businesses like Hamilton Piano Company. Tobias goes on to talk about the piano community itself and how he's worked to live up to the legacy of his father, uncle, and grandfather, as well as how he wants to help this community carry on the joy of pianos and music for future generations.
In this week's episode, Mike and Mike properly introduce themselves, giving you a little bit of information about who they are; Tobias talks about attending the Piano Technicians Guild Convention in Reno, Nevada, and all of the people he got to meet while he was there; The piano recital we hosted at our shop; and the relationship between Grotrian and Steinway pianos.
Please stay tuned for our next episode - the biggest one yet - where we have Copeland Davis on our podcast to talk about his career!

Tobias, Mike, and Mike talk about how you're never too experienced to keep learning, and the importance of recognizing where you need help, and when to turn to others who can provide it. Along the way, Tobias shares more personal anecdotes about piano tuning jobs he's done (including one for Ben Folds) and piano moves (including a story about us moving a 9-foot concert-grand for Billy Joel).

In this episode, we have our hosts, Tobias, Mike, and Mike, accompanied by returning guest Ian, as well as a new guest: tuner and technician, Chris Vesenka.
Chris, as someone relatively young to the piano industry, provides his own unique perspective on it. He also shares what it's like to tune all the pianos on a luxury cruise liner, as well as swaps stories with Tobias about what their worst tuning jobs have been, as well as talking about how temperature affects their tunings. We also get to hear Tobias and Ian participate in their favorite pastime... arguing with each other.

In our first episode, we have our hosts Tobias Hamilton - owner of Hamilton Piano Company - Mike Bolin and Mike Hayden - both veteran piano movers for HPC - accompanied by Cheryl Lewis, office manager for Hamilton Piano Company, as well as Ian Minnerly of Minnerly Media.
We all talk about what makes pianos unique as instruments, where the piano industry is going and how pianos fit into the modern day, what it takes to be a good piano technician or tuner, and also talk about what we hope to accomplish with this podcast in the future.
We're still getting our podcasting legs, so for these first couple episodes we're just feeling things out, getting comfortable on the microphone and figuring out the best way to do all of this, but we'll start honing in on more specific topics and better audio quality in later episodes.
