Happy Horror Time

Longtime friend of HHT, Melanie Kinnaman was fierce AF when she faced off against the Jason copycat killer as Pam Roberts in “Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning.” Tune in to hear all about filming this polarizing sequel, who hit on her during the shoot, and the true story behind her infamous disappearing pink sweater!

Jared Leto playing an eccentric character? An old hotel toying with the minds of its guests? Where have we seen this before? ;) The two films we discuss this week, “The Little Things” and “The Night,” both attempt to put their own stamp on some tried and true horror tropes. Tune in to hear which was successful and which, not so much.

Erika Anderson’s death scene in “A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child” was a gruesome delight that spawned one of Freddy Krueger’s most iconic lines. Tune in to hear all her amusing stories about the film, the creepy prop she kept from the set, and what her mom did one Halloween at school that made her classmate wet his pants.

This week we shift from cinematic horror to real-life horror to discuss Netflix’s four-part docuseries, “The Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer” along with our special guest – Happy Horror Time Co-Producer and host of the true crime podcast, “Crime of Your Life” – Jacob Randall.

This week we discuss two films that aren’t traditional horror flicks, but still bring thrills and suspense to the screen. There’s tons to unpack (and tons to appreciate) in the all-too-real black comedy thriller, “Promising Young Woman,” and “Horizon Line” brings terror to the skies while showing how totally normal it is to walk outside a moving plane!

If you're wondering what this podcast is all about, take a listen! With unscripted and unpolished reviews of all things horror + interviews with horror stars and insiders, anyone can have a Happy Horror Time! Hosted by: Tim Murdock & Matt Emert; Produced by: Jacob Randall

From playing an iconic character in the “Halloween” series to playing in an all-girl rock band, J.C. Brandy is quite the multitalented artist. Tune in to hear how she felt taking over the part of Jamie Lloyd in the franchise’s 6th film, her thoughts on the Theatrical vs. Producer’s Cut, and the project she did with a “Friday the 13th” alum.

We discuss two films that are just dripping with... masculinity. From a rugged Devon Sawa hunting a “bear” (aka, serial killer) in “Hunter Hunter,” to Bruce Willis kickin’ ass and spoutin’ one-liners (as usual) in the sci-fi thriller, “Breach,” both of these creature features will have you belting out the Village People’s hit with glee.

She faced off against Freddy Krueger AND co-wrote/sang the opening song in “A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master.” She’s Tuesday Knight! Tune in to hear all about her experiences working on the film, how that iconic song came to be, and what Patricia Arquette told her about her take on the character of Kristen Parker.

We discuss Satanic grandparents finding out what DTF means in “Anything for Jackson,” along with Hilary Swank owning everyone in the very unerotic thriller, “Fatale.” There’s no shortage of creepy twists and turns to review in these movies, and you won’t wanna miss Tim fawn over all things Hilary Swank.
