We close our series on Spiritual Gifts with Pastor Seth walking through the 13th chapter of 1 Corinthians, known as the "love" chapter. We dive into the context of this letter and what it reveals about the Corinthian culture 2,000 years ago and how over the many years leading up to today, not much has changed.

God gifts his church with the gifts it needs through healthy and functioning members that serve as the body of Christ. Before we ask what our gifts may be, we must ask if we are committed members of a singular body, caring for one another so that when we the gifts are put to a common and purposeful use. Do you belong to a church body?

We move from Romans 12 to 1 Corinthians 12 as we continue our Spiritual Gifts series looking at how the Spirit of God gives good gifts to the children of God, not for their individual use but for the good of the church.

In our final sermon working through Romans 12, we walk through verses nine through twenty-one and see how Christian belief shapes Christian action. Our belief should influence our actions and our actions reveal our true beliefs. What do your actions say about what you truly believe and value?

Pastor Seth focuses in on the first four words of chapter 12 where the Apostle Paul makes a clear plea; "Let love be genuine." We live in a culture where love is more about our feelings than about our actions. We all want to be loved but few want to pour themselves out in love. So how do we make our love genuine? We look to Jesus. Listen and hear how Jesus speaks of love, shows us love, and calls us to love.

We continue our Spiritual Gifts sermon series working through Romans 12 and now addressing the gifts God gives to his church. What we find is that the specific gifts are given in a specific structure in order for God's mission to be accomplished, that the lost would be saved and the saved discipled. Are you using your gift?

We continue our second week in our Spiritual Gifts series asking who are spiritual gifts for and what is their purpose? We come to a colossial truth that God makes no one special and gives no special gifts. What he does give make and give is by far better.

We begin our Spiritual Gifts sermon series with a sermon on worship. To receive a gift, one must first be in a healthy relationship with the Giver of the gift in order to receive and use the gift correctly. Worship isn't something you turn off and on like a light switch; every human is a continuous worshipper. The question is, therefore, not when you worship but what.

We finish our "Devoted" Series looking at the final item the early church committed itself to; to prayer. Pastor Seth walks answers three questions: 1. What is Prayer? 2. Why Should We Pray? 3. How Should We Pray. He closes with pointing us to the supreme value of prayer and why it is an essential key to a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
