Jack, Mike, and Kate discuss during this segment Bill Cosby’s recent release from prison. Kate wonders if celebrities can lose their royalty deals due to high-profile crimes. Meanwhile, Jack is not a fan of Phylicia Rashad, especially due to her support of Cosby.

Also, it’s very much worth noting that Kate has yet to see the Academy Award-winning film Mac and Me.

Welcome to The Acc and Jack Show! Chris Acciardi and Jack Gill have been presenting this podcast on-and-off since 2006. What they lack in creativity, they make up for in… longevity, maybe.

Kicking off this episode, Acc and Jack discuss:

    • Jack’s new kittens, and their freakish extra toes
    • Mass Effect Legendary Edition – Acc has yet to try it, while Jack still can’t get into the series
    • Retro video games are a “comfort food” against the current generation of games and consoles
    • Elsewhere, Acc and Jack discuss musicians who pass on, and the effect that leaves. Jack remembers Bryan St Pere – drummer of space rock band Hum – who unexpectedly left us the day of this episode’s recording. Meanwhile, Acc discusses Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie, and David Bowie, and the legacies each respectfully leave behind.

Transitioning from somber news to more psychotic, Acc and Jack chat about Danny Tramp’s first post-election rally in Ohio. Was the rally itself and its attendees as insane as Bill Cosby becoming a free man, or Allison Mack only getting 3 years in prison for her role in the NXIVM cult? You decide!

On this episode of Hardly Focused with Jack, Mike, and Nate, it’s both Father’s Day and insanely hot outside. Jack asks resident show-dad Mike what his kids did for the holiday. Meanwhile, Nate shows off – and takes a bite from – the coagulated brick of gummy bears that he left in his hot car.

We Read Customer Reviews of Sugar-Free Gummy Bears

Jacks learns during the warm-up segment of this episode that sugar-free gummy bears effectively double as a laxative. Nate presents to him and Mike customer reviews from Amazon of Haribo sugar-free gummies. The reviews are “explosive,” to say the least.

Our Pets, and Another Installment of “How Fucking Dumb Are You?”

Kicking off this segment, Jack, Mike, and Nate discuss their pets, past and present. Being Father’s Day the day of recording, Nate reveals that he is a new cat-dad! Elsewhere in this podcast, Jack presents everyone’s favorite segment, “How Fucking Dumb Are You?” Featured in the news: cream-cheese induced rage, and a plagiarizing principal.

Concluding this gummy-riddled episode, Jack blitzes through the news stories that weren’t yet covered:

      • Foo Fighters go… disco?
      • A Mississippi man lost in his fantasy football league and had to spend 24 straight hours at a Waffle House. Several of those hours were spent eating waffle after waffle, with much discomfort.
      • A Change.org petition requests Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos eat the Mona Lisa. Like, the actual painting.

        Stinky Situations

Jack and Fro cover some of the weirder stories in the news! A New England man makes headlines for nearly being swallowed by a whale. Elsewhere, NBC’s “Ultimate Slip ‘n Slide” halts production due to a severe diarrhea outbreak.

        Vaccines Do NOT Magnetize You

In this special edition of “How Fucking Dumb Are You?” Jack and Fro discuss vaccines – specifically, anti-vaxxers. The latest misconception: vaccines magnetize people. Number of people who have proven this? Zero.

        The Warm-Up

This segment is only available in the full episode of this podcast!

Welcome to Hardly Focused, with Acc, Jack and Mike! It’s finally summer in Massachusetts, which can only mean one thing – sweltering humidity. The state is finally open, so that should make for an interesting summer.

Kicking off summer, Acc recently helped celebrate his grandmother’s 91st birthday. Jack asks Acc and Mike if they want to live forever. Jack wants to be able to make it to 2077, so he can point out everything Cyberpunk 2077 got wrong.

        We’re Back! A Massachusetts Story.

As of May 29, the commonwealth of Massachusetts is fully open! Jack notes how happy he is to see plastered in store windows less emergency order and mask mandate signs. Unsurprisingly, the most amount of mask-less folks at this point can be found at the local Walmart.

Elsewhere, a quip from Jack about the XFL leads the group to discuss the Washington Football Team. Check out the list of names currently considered for the team; there are some interesting ones in mind.

Finally in this segment, Jack covers how the state of West Virginia is offering incentives for getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Among the incentives include a chance to win guns – for hunting. Whatever it takes to bring down the infection cases, right?

Captain Wacky and the 31st of June

Jack kicks off this segment by featuring audio of Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil attempting – and failing – to sing. Of course, this bodes well for their upcoming reunion tour.

In the world of politics, representative Marjorie “Captain Wacky” Taylor-Greene mailed to the White House a letter full of inaccuracies about the COVID-19 pandemic. The letter requests acknowledgement by a date that doesn’t actually exist – June 31. Acc notes that most Republicans in power will go out of their way to avoid correcting flubs like this.

Meanwhile in the land of sports, Naomi Osaka drops out of the French Open due to mental health concerns. Initially, Osaka was fined for failing to appear for required press conferences. Jack and Mike figure she could have taken the Marshawn Lynch route and just BS’d her conferences.

        The Wrap-Up

This segment is only available in the full episode of this podcast!

Wrapping up this installment of Hardly Focused, Jack covers the following stories:

        • A bakery in Texas experiences an amazing influx in customers, after a Pride Month-focused social media post sparked backlash. Said backlash backfired, leading to an outpouring of support from the community.
        • “Karen” is no longer a popular name for babies. Mike attempts to find the thing that sparked “Karen” becoming a borderline-derogatory term.
