I feel that directions that are un-clear can be more frustrating than no directions at all…how about you?

This morning we are going to start a sort-of-visioning series for Harvest; talking about what kind of church are we, or are striving to be.

If you’re waiting to start a fast when all the craziness settles down, then you will never fast…life happens my friends, just jump in and embrace the fear of starting.

The origin of the word Fast in Hebrew means “to cover mouth.” And in Greek it means, to abstain.” I know the question of why do we need to fast,” is out there, so for the next couple of weeks we are going to talk about why fasting is an important discipline in a Christians life.

This morning as we conclude this series, we are going to look at the end of David’s life, how he finished the race and how it impacted the future of all humanity.

A good friend of mine would say, when referencing preparation for worship, “we’re gonna get after it…” Everybody would respond…but what does this mean? What does it really look like or feel like to get after it?

This morning we will focus not on the threat of death to David, but on how he handled the threat. When facing wrongful accusations, what principle did David default to, and what example did he leave for us to follow as well?
