Yeah, I’m not joking.

Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to.

And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews.

Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process)

I’ve had my finger in the air and the wind is blowing more frustration and anxiety for many this week, and not giving the level of celebration that it normally would (in the US).

Yesterday we talked about Fear.

(And if you haven’t heard that one yet, might I suggest you start there first? These two episodes go together.)

I can’t “solve” fear for anyone, but I can postulate some things that I think would help with it. And that’s what I tried to do here. Give a listen and see how it went :)

I had some extra opportunities to observe a bunch of humans over the last couple days, and it confirmed for me what I had been thinking about for awhile- doing an entire episode about fear.

So many social interactions amongst humans are rooted in fear :/

The concept is too big to cover in its entirety, but I did narrow it down to three subcategories that I’ve been thinking about a lot: embarrassment, imposter syndrome, and anxiety.

Don’t skip this one because you might find it uncomfortable. Find a time when you feel ready, and then jump right in.

It’s an unconventional kind, but I fully agree. It totally counts

And that idea brings us into other types of “unconventional” self care. Unconventional because they aren’t defined by how others might describe self care? Perhaps.

Doesn’t make them any less valid. ;)
