  • “If You Leave Me Now”
It’s a Song of the Week!

I am so excited to present to you this brand new music-centered feature on the show.

Two Years Ago we had a blast (my word) listening to 300 albums and discussing them together. Ever since I have known that we were going to get back to holding space to talk specifically about music on the pod, regularly.

And just about a year after we started that massive undertaking, the time is now!!

So instead of album after album, we’re going to talk about ONE SONG AT A TIME.

    -

This week’s SIXTY-TWO installment song (Year Two!) is from Artist: Chicago

And is called “If You Leave Me Now.”

It is from their eighth studio album: Chicago X

You can listen to their album version of the song here: https://youtu.be/-9_d-sFhmRM

Plus you can almost always grab a preview on my IG @whereschloe; it’s up on the profile.

There is no hierarchy; these songs are going to be in basically a random order, chosen for reasons that I’ll most likely expound upon within the episode. Along with an array of background, inspirations, time frame, album order, cultural context, related themes, personal experiences, etc.

Any genre artist decade that I would listen to is up for grabs and who’s to know what will be next and why? ;)

    Remember your favorites.
    Discover something new.

One song of the week at a time for however long works.

I’m ELATED that you’re along for the ride,

  • HBD America: TV Edition, A New Era
The 21st Century has changed A LOT of things about the medium. We’ve come a long way!

And it’s been quite a journey, by no means exhaustive. So if you didn’t hear about a show that you know was a big deal, don’t worry! Its lack of inclusion isn’t a commentary on my opinion.

    OH MY WORD.

I don’t think I’ve ever done this before in 4+ years!

I broadcast live, and recorded for on demand distribution, this entire episode and then completely forgot to actually DISTRIBUTE it what the crap

Well, if you ever needed proof that the relative importance of things has next to no bearing on whether or not I’ll remember them, this is it.

Because this show is *very* important to me. And yet here we are ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well anyway, please enjoy this discussion on beautiful places whenever it makes its way to you.

    I apologize for the delay!

Thanks a million for your patience,

    C

(good gracious i can’t believe it)
