Have You Ever One-dered??

What does this title make you think of?

Find out what it made me think of, and what it’s really about. It won’t be disappointing, but hopefully will be incredibly useful.

More things are possible than you realize,

It’s encouraging to know that a process of evolution can also be an opportunity.

Thanks for being here,

Sometimes they say “save the drama for your mama,” but when it comes to these shows I have to disagree.

Don’t be the anti-hero of your own story,

C

Prestige television changed everything.

Thanks for being along on this ride,

C

It’s a Song of the Week!

I am so excited to present to you this brand new music-centered feature on the show.

Two Years Ago we had a blast (my word) listening to 300 albums and discussing them together. Ever since I have known that we were going to get back to holding space to talk specifically about music on the pod, regularly.

And just about a year after we started that massive undertaking, the time is now!!

So instead of album after album, we’re going to talk about ONE SONG AT A TIME.

This week’s SIXTIETH installment song (Year Two!) is from Artist: The Spice Girls

And is called “Spice Up Your Life.”

It is from their second studio album: Spice World

You can listen to the album version of the song here: https://youtu.be/NG2i4d8xOMo?s...

You can see the unexpected video: here https://youtu.be/9wfpXI5PKlw?s...

Plus you can almost always grab a preview on my IG @whereschloe; it’s up on the profile.

HAVE FUN WITH THIS ONE!

There is no hierarchy; these songs are going to be in basically a random order, chosen for reasons that I’ll most likely expound upon within the episode. Along with an array of background, inspirations, time frame, album order, cultural context, related themes, personal experiences, etc.

Any genre artist decade that I would listen to is up for grabs and who’s to know what will be next and why? ;)

Remember your favorites.
Discover something new.

One song of the week at a time for however long works.

I’m ELATED that you’re along for the ride,

C

Let me encourage you with the idea that it’s not always a bad thing.

SES continues.

Wirklich glad you’re here,

C

The 90s change things. By A LOT.

Glad you’re here,

C

What about when you can’t be in control of the outcome?

Tough, eh?

C

Need a hiding place for all that sweet sweet cash money you have lying around?

It can’t just go in the banana stand-

Have fun, be careful,

POETRY TIME

Here Together

by W. S. Merwin

These days I can see us clinging to each other
as we are swept along by the current
I am clinging to you to keep you from
being swept away and you are clinging to me
we see the shores blurring past as we hold
each other in the rushing current
the daylight rushes unheard far above us
how long will we be swept along in the daylight
how long will we cling together in the night
and where will it carry us together
