Have You Ever One-dered??

We’re back! SES continues.

Yayyyy,

C

Nope, it’s not an accident.
Yes, today’s episode is similar in length to a voice text I might leave lol.

Tell the air pressure to go back up :(

C

Why twice in a row? Pop in and I’ll tell you.

We’re making our way into the 80s and 90s today, and things are starting to get uncomfortable onscreen. (Uh oh!)

Who do we think we are?

C

We’re making our way into the 70s and 80s. As the world changed, so did the way we attempted to represent ourselves.

Big laughs, big aspirations,

C

It’s a Song of the Week!

I am so excited to present to you this brand new music-centered feature on the show.

Two Years Ago we had a blast (my word) listening to 300 albums and discussing them together. Ever since I have known that we were going to get back to holding space to talk specifically about music on the pod, regularly.

And just about a year after we started that massive undertaking, the time is now!!

So instead of album after album, we’re going to talk about ONE SONG AT A TIME.

This week’s FIFTY-EIGHTH installment song (Year Two!) is from Artist: Real Estate

And is called “Freeze Brain.”

It is from their sixth studio album: Daniel

You can listen to the album version of the song here: https://youtu.be/ZLNseaX2ewc?s...

Plus you can almost always grab a preview on my IG @whereschloe; it’s up on the profile.

There is no hierarchy; these songs are going to be in basically a random order, chosen for reasons that I’ll most likely expound upon within the episode. Along with an array of background, inspirations, time frame, album order, cultural context, related themes, personal experiences, etc.

Any genre artist decade that I would listen to is up for grabs and who’s to know what will be next and why? ;)

Remember your favorites.
Discover something new.

One song of the week at a time for however long works.

I’m ELATED that you’re along for the ride,

Back at it again with the pink thumbnail. Our SES (Summer Encouragement Series) continues-

Grateful to be able to share these thoughts with you.

One day at a time,

C

It’s not a wild assumption to figure that you might now or one day own at least one Apple device. And if that’s the case, some of these things might be just what you need to make the use a little safer.

There’s so much going on,

C

Make your life a little easier.

It’s tough out there,

C

Let’s keep going!

(An unusual episode featuring a melancholy host trying to keep it light, and an untimely interruption.)

We’re looking, during this seminal year of American history, at some of the media that has helped shape this nation-and the way everyone views it.

Let’s keep going,
