Former Iowa offensive coordinator Don Patterson is back for another season of analyzing Hawkeye football on the Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast.

Patterson, who also was the head coach for Western Illinois from 1999 to 2009, made his 2023 season debut on Monday.

He addressed multiple topics during the 70-minute radio interview, including how he thinks Cade McNamara will impact the Iowa offense, and what to expect from Utah State in the season opener on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa Interim Athletic Director Beth Goetz was the guest on Friday's Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast.

She addressed multiple topics, including the gambling probe, the changing landscape in college athletics and the much-anticipated charity exhibition game between the Iowa women's basketball team and DePaul, which is set for Oct. 15 at Kinnick Stadium.

Goetz said ticket sales for the "Crossover at Kinnick" have surpassed 40,000 and that orders continue to be made.

She also ended her 30-minute interview by picking a musical act that she feels would fill Kinnick Stadium.
