Well, things do happen to it - nasty, painful things that can cause weird and unseen damage. One moment you're making good speed, the next you're in an ambulance wondering why you can't remember your birthday. Mat and Peter have both been there, as have many, many others.
Concussions are a very real part of motorsports, but we don't like to talk about them. So this week we're doing exactly that as we dig deep into the world of brain damage. Helping us are the expertise of retired neurosurgeon dr. Peter Richards, and the technical know-how of Richard Harfoot, who works for body armour producer D30.
